Read up on the “Uncanny Valley”. The better to real something gets (whilst not quite being perfect), the more critical of it we are.

Basically, we like stylised characters, but get creeped out by ‘near-realistic’ stuff

  That’s not rational at all, considering this has nothing to do with the uncanny valley. The uncanny valley only kicks in when you’re very close to realism, but something looks slightly off. The Berserk clip is just shitty CGI. Also, stop samefagging.
