What tape? Which era are you from or you have never bought a DVD before? While it is true that TV stations in Japan still uses tapes but we are past the VHS era elsewhere in the world. And only Blu-ray Disc usually contains the uncensored versions. DVD is practically the same as what is shown on TV.
