One thing Kishimoto never grasped was that not every one of his readers was willing to fall down on their knees and worship the very ground Itachi walked on, like all the characters in the series were. Itachi was an atrociously-written Marty Stu who was subject to one of the most HORRIFICLY badly-written retcons in manga history (if you believe Kishimoto had intended for him to be “good all along” from his first appearance you’re a retard) and all the characters in the manga shilling him as the greatest ninja who’d ever lived only served to make us hate him more.

So basically what I’m trying to say here is fuck this spin-off.
