Can you really call them desperate when this is all about doing business. Handheld cell phones or consoles is very common nowadays, I myself used to frequently visit arcades back in the 90’s but the new generations certainly isn’t as hyped about it.

I’d say arcades is slowly going into obsolete, thus they tried to cater to the kids instead of teenagers and above.
