The mistreated Hideo Kojima has finally been released from his bonds as his contract with the dastardly Konami has at last ended, allowing the revered developer to reopen Kojima Productions, acquiring a helping hand from Sony to produce his next ground-breaking title in the process.

Joined by a handful of his former colleagues from when Kojima Productions still existed, Kojima hopes to give players an innovative experience with his new upcoming IP – this fresh start hopefully allow Kojima to get back into making such high-quality titles, and maybe even something without a protagonist named Snake in it.

No offense to Konami at all (still love them), but I know that Kojima Productions will be a new clean slate for Hideo. I wish him well in his new adventures and success. 🙂
