1. Aoki Hagane no Arpeggio
That's why we can't have a nice things and will be doomed in near future to the cheap clunky 3D anime.
We can't have nice things because stuff like the pointless and tedious Utawarerumono sequel is more popular than stuff that's actually trying to entertain us. Also because stuff like UBW is still showing up on lists during seasons when it's not even airing. By contrast CG might save anime, by eventually making it easier to do the kinds of superficial animations people like so that they can focus on better writing and storytelling.
It's not just UBW, 40% of the list is not airing this season.
theres an ova being released this season
@03:43 to be fair, just because Slice-of-Life isn't your cup of tea doesn't mean shows like Utawarerumono is no good. Go back a few pages and look at the list of what western fans apparently like before you decide things for other people based on your own judgment.
If catering to different groups of audiences = pointless and tedious then doesn't that applies to shows suitable for me but happens to be what you dislike?
Ars Nova's actually pretty expensive 3D, it was kind of a showcase of what you could do with a proper budget and an experienced 3D team. Yes, A lot of 3DCG anime are terrible, but I have to give props to Ars Nova as it's pretty good quality animation (not great, but more than adequate) and avoids all the putty faced background characters and droopy features that are so common in 2D tv quality shows.
Yeah, I prefer 2D still, but Ars Nova is the show that gave me hope than in a few years 3D will be able to match and/or compliment 2D animation to both improve the shows and likely decrease budgets or workloads getting us either more anime or better treated animators (we'll see which way that goes as the business decisions are made).
Production I.G. produced anime have already achieved this 3D compliment of 2D. See: any Ghost in the Shell series, Psycho Pass, End of Evangelion, RE: Cyborg 009 (2013), to name a few.
Wow Gundam is #2.
One Punch Man should be higher tho.
One Punch Man should be #1
why watch an inferior version of superman?
gr8 b8 m8
@08:32 by today's standard, I'd say superman is full of plot holes and lack of logic compared to shows like One-punch Man or even the old version of Dragon Ball. But nice try there, m8. :)
yup i mean, eventually people who like superman start bringing up multiverse and thats just a way to fill in plot holes
If u were to take a poll in the West, you'd be right. Its super popular even among casual fans.
But alas, this is a Japanese poll.
Gundam Orphans is the best Gundam I've seen, so far, and a genuinely jolly good show, so I don't mind it being high. OPM should definitely be higher, though. I guess it's just a fact of life that without lots of moe it's hard to get close to the pole position in Japan. In that sense OPM waited too long before introducing ladies.
One Punch man and That Shitty SHAFT show shouldn't be anywhere NEAR this list.
incorrect sir, please play again
sorry about your shit taste
Okay, where the hell is Noragami Aragoto?
Kagewani >>>>>>>>>>>>> the rest.
Love Live is #9, if only I could watch that anime movie in cinema's in the Philippines. but not available in any cinema's, only SM Cinema's only, the rest is full of screening of FYM movie
Everyone needs to suck toes and stop complaining.
