The Big O and My Big Robo are missing as well as Voltron.
Voltron isn't actually an anime.
It's animated by Japanese people. It aired originally in Japan before coming to the US. Yes, it is anime. Some Voltron is not anime, but the original definitely is.
Also, just thinking of a few I have.
Blue Gender
Break Blade
Eureka Seven (and AO)
RahXephon
What about mazinger z
Mazinger is Giant Robot not Mecha.
So is GaoGaiGar and Gunbuster.
This retard...
Mecha is all piloted robots, dude. Not just piloted robots, but it is usually referring to stuff like Gundam. Doesn't matter what size they are.
How the fuck Valrape is there. Shit taste again Japan
No zoids
Full metal panic
Voltron
Rigged RIGGED i declare
Voltron is not an anime.
Which was Voltron's original Japanese name
Voltron doesn't have an original Japanese name. The animations where taken from an original but they changed everything with the re-dub.
He's right
Golion is!
Zoids?? I think you overestimate how much Japan was into Zoids.
Of course it's "rigged" It's a popularity contest voted on by younger people.
Full Metal Panic?
Second that.
Macross F on the list, without SDF Macross or Macross 7? WTF is this shit?
at Gunbuster, you can have the worst-est job ever perhaps in the entire anime kingdom: cleaning Gunbuster's cape(good luck in finding a washing machine).
I'm happy in general and okay with the choices, even though I haven't seen many, but Eureka 7 is not only one of the best mech anime I've seen, but my all time favorite anime. Not the second season of course, but the near-perfectly-assembled first series.
it's like #7 and onwards they had no idea, and just fill the list with recent memory. Disappointed that Fafner was only #6, maybe the complex plot was too much for them.
Someone forgot Lagrange...
What? Code Geass second after Gurren Lagann?
Code Geass is by far the best anime in this list and Gurren Lagann by far the worst, it was just the most popular one!
Well duh. How do you think they are rated? Do you believe ther is a jury who judges based on objective criteria?
Of course not. The order is determined mostly by the number of poeople who saw the anime. Quality is only a secondary characterisitc.
say what you like about Code Geass... nothing's gonna change the fact that R2 sucked so much compared to the first... R2 is technically a Gundam anime... too many mecha battles, too little focus on the Geass itself, politics, and basically each character ending up questioning their own lives and motives...
Long story short, Code Geass held so much promise during the start only to fall so much when it ended... Tengen Toppa simply did what it did best from start to end and that's going over the top of the last Gainax mecha anime (Diebuster) and it gave viewers an awesome ride.
You said the word "popular" That's all it needs to be #1.
What about Zoids? used to love that show.
>code gayass
>aldnoah zero
who made this list, a chimp with Parkinson?
go watch more one piece... lol
Where the fuck is Kenzen Robo Daimidaler?
Invalid list.
I wonder how much power can the male mc get from groping these girls...
Kenzen Robo Daimidaler?
AQUARIOOOOOOOON
Ooh, a list that no-one agrees about on Sankaku. Imagine that. Still, the first three are quite accurate.
How the hell is Code Geass better than NG Evangelion?
How the hell is NG Evangelion there, it have only 1 giant robot and by 1 episode only >.>
you spelled 'how the hell is Code Geass not number 1 on this list' wrong.
Eureka Seven?
Meh ... Macross Frontier is more of Romance with a bit of mecha twist rather than Mecha Anime.
I can't remember any mecha battle on it. Even Valvrave is much better than that.
Macross Frontier is totally mecha, just because you can't remember the fights don't mean they're there. Especially when you have Battle Frontier fighting Battle Galaxy
If you can't remember the transforming Monster loaded with nukes, perhaps you need try watching it again, this time without the weed.
Linebarrels.
Needs 100% more Godannar. It also feels like the last decade of the trash Evangelion shovelware has made people forget how incredible the original Evangelion was and still is.
Aldnoah should be on the very bottom of the list.
I actually loved Aldnoah Zero... until I saw the second half ~_~;
I only agree with the Yoko part. Still, It just cant be that compared much too much comedy and constant googling over just one Character depending the fan. But yeah. Gundam was more action strongly compared to Transformers than any other. Evangelion tho could take it a slow 55% beyond the charts. That is just my opinion of course.
Man the kids these days don't know their history. Macross and Voltron gotta be top two spots no discussion, word.
Except Voltron isn't even an anime.
where the fuck is VOTOMS
In a museum :)
This just shows that 2004-2008 were good for mecha anime fans...Now they feel generic...btw...Lelouch lives!
Except Gunbuster is almost 40, and EVA is over 20.
