Dragon Ball Super has revamped its highly criticized art and animation with its first BD release, bringing the “inexcusable” quality up to a more tolerable level and allowing the anime a chance to redeem itself amongst dedicated Dragon Ball fans.
The horrendous art present in the 5th episode of Dragon Ball Super’s TV run can be seen on the left, while the visually enhanced BD version can be observed on the right:

It actually is worse than GT animation wise. GT looked so much better, it's not even funny. It's just sad.

GT's sin was shitting on everyone to the point where only Goku was relevant. That and Pan being a shit character. But GT had heart and some interesting ideas. Nova Shenron being a bro and a 4-star dragon was a great reference to that being Goku's grandfather's treasured dragonball.
The problem with Super is that the movies weren't that good and getting a worse animated retread of them is even worse. And these designs suck. Red hair, blue hair, gold Frieza. Really?

Funny, because "fix" is a word for repairing something broken.
The series shows they're out of ideas for the franchise and should let it die. It wouldn't have taken much to recruit some half decent writers to produce a couple of new arcs instead of rehashing what they've already covered in movies.
