The world’s ceaseless desire for a Psychonauts 2 has finally led to the game’s inevitable crowdfunding campaign, headed by Double Fine and hopefully to result both in an actual release and a quality product, as unlikely as this might be for a crowdfunded sequel…
The campaign’s pitch video, asking for a mere 3.3 million dollars and managing to amass almost half that amount within a day:
An announcement teaser:
Psychonaus 2 is being planned for PC, Mac, PS4 and Xbox One; willing backers can donate toward the game’s creation now.

You know that when Bobby Kotick, evil demon lord in charge of EA, is absolutely spot on about what kind of person someone is, that person is a pile of shit.
That's what old Timmy there is. A pile of shit.
The guy burns money, there's nothing else to say about him. He's got some good ideas and concepts but he's not someone who can manage a company or any sort of money. Don't fund him. Don't fund assholes who make half-baked piece of shit games and lie to their fans.
Bobby Kotick isn't in charge of EA, anon.
That's true, my bad. Activision is even worse than EA though.
Half of it has been raised.
Very sad state of affairs.
That money is going right up somebody's nose. No accountability whatsoever.
And what happened to the profits from their previous games? Did they just not exist? Why aren't they using those to fund their next games?
Seriously, how can so many people be this fucking stupid? Then again, those funds were likely made by the SJW sheep who WEREN'T absolutely pissed at his sock puppet skit and, regardless of how many failures he has under his belt, are constantly willing to give him the benefit of a doubt because he's part of their incestuous in-group.
In life, I've learned that most people only see things through a tiny lens, and ignore everything else outside of that.
They just want the game, they don't care if the guy presenting it to them is a scammer or an asshole. They don't care if the actual creators get screwed over, as long as they personally get what they want. Seen this same thing happen over and over and over.
A shameless scammer and a massive SJW.
A shame, because I liked his games back in the day.
I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't even do much for those games. His kind become well-known by slapping their name on everyone else's work.
Let's see here for a second.
Double Fine kickstarted the last two games they made, failed to deliver on time and with all the features promised during the campaign. Even with tremendously massive free development costs, and having betrayed all expectations with delivery, Tim Schafter has the balls to ask for yet another risk free cost free way to squeeze your money out.
They should change their names to Triple Fine.
I feel like I could replace key words in your post to implicate "Tropes vs Women" instead, and still be spot on.
Psychonauts turned out to be a great game back when I was younger. One I would consider to be a classic root to the new bizarre adventure games nowadays like Death JR. If they do get a second installment then I am sure it will be awesome.
Double Fatfuck.
the only reason they are crowdfunding this is because they are greedy jews who dont want to pay back loans.
Doble Fine, next kickstarting the staff getting out of bed... in the mornings!
I loved Psychonauts, but I don't really trust that guy managing money.
How long has it been since the original came out? About 10 years? Man, this is gonna be awesome.
People constantly complaining about poor animations for anime or bad game making should just resort to crowdfunding and commission their own anime/games instead of posting derogatory remarks everywhere which doesn't change anything.
But for a game like Psychonauts, I'm surprised they have no shame in asking for "a mere 3.3 million dollars" does this game's quality deserves so much capitals to produce?
You apparently haven't heard of the whole Broken Age fiasco, this is how the current-day Double Fine operates.
Do you see some of those funding options? Who the hell are the two people giving him $10,000 and what the hell are they thinking?!
Probably the same kind of "people" throwing cash at masterpieces like that piece of shit "transgender" game pooped out by two of the biggest delusional assholes on this planet.
There's no way in hell this'll succeed even if it's funded. After the clusterfuck with their last two campaigns because of Schafter inability to manage money, I can only see this as a scam.
As long he produces the end product for anything, it's not a scam. It just means he's a bit of an idiot with money, but that's okay if the game appears and people get what they paid for.
naw spacebase was more like they gave us 10 out of 12 wings and 5 of them were uncooked. Then doublefine told us to cook the other half.
So lets say a menu at a food chain offers a plate of 12 BBQ chicken wings. It is thoroughly advertised as such over several forms of media. You get there, order it, and they only give you 8 wings without any BBQ sauce. Would this not be fraud?
Aaaaand this is what happened to Spacebase DF-9 from Double Fraud.
