Why can't Onepiece just DIE ALREADY!!!!
at this point Onepiece if basically hitler, it will only be forgotten if you go back in time and prevent it from existing.
Hilarious summary.
Funny that you mention that fucking Austrian, because you should know that getting rid of Hitler will only result in someone even worse getting into power, so logically removing Onepiece from history will only cause an even more annoying manga to take over the sales.
He who controls the Shonen Jump, controls the Oricon - Yuri
Terrible metaphor; One Piece does some things wrong.
I don't follow the series since a lot now, but as far as I know Luffy will find the One Piece when we viewers are in our rightful tombs ._.
the manga will still be alive after u die so yea, that ain't happening.
Am I the only one who thinks that Shingeki no Kyojin got very boring?
Nah you might be right. I found the Anime great and all but the manga..Last time I checked it was all plain talk and military tactics.
Not only very boring, but weak too. The manga has a lot more flashbacks and intrigue in it whereas the anime advertised the gore and action.
It also became obvious the author caved to his editors when he wouldn't kill off recognizable favorites.
Is this japan only sales? And those otaku buy like ten copies so we gotta divide it by ten of course...
But fucking one piece tho...
Is Japan small? Definitely not. Most of these titles is Shounen which cater to audiences like older kids to teenagers. If we assume they are plenty of rich kids, the figures would still sound ridiculous because this is about Tankoubon (hard copy) sales and not their relevant magazines sales.
One Piece- A billion years in the making
Bleach- Totally epic with Reaper cream fillings and action packed fights
Tokyo Ghoul-The Ideal atmosphere for a fast food meal. Touka-Chan is best with Pizza.
Naruto- Got to the final chapter. Ninja wars and stuff.
Fairy Tail-Magic beyond Harry Potter animated.
Shingeki no Kyojin- Straight violation of Giant's rights and murder of their species.
Prison School- Abuse. Gore. Abuse of man's existence. More gore and abuse. And a crazy lewd chick who wants to see a prisoner pee.Psychopathic mode active in manga and anime.
_Sounds legit.
Better to say, Shounen Manga. Where's Vinland Saga and I am a Hero?
Bleach is on the list? Kubo must've bought those or some 10 year old begged his parents to.
want to see Jitsu wa Watashi wa Manga in this list. I don't know how many times I nearly died from lung implosion just because of the countless genius comedy found in the manga.
Chug ever onwards, Detective Conan.
I would like to see Gate: Jieitai Kanochi nite, Kaku Tatakaeri get here. Though the anime watered it down, the manga is a growing masterpiece.
Of course, I have plenty of other favorites like Freezing, Akame ga Kiru!, The Record of a Fallen Vampire, Tsukihime (way better as compared to the anime, chrono crusade is another similar example), Rosario + Vampire, Ubel blatt, Psyren, mel kano (it teaches internet ignorant people the dangers of cyber crime), RE:MONSTER, Spirit migration, The Record of a Fallen Vampire, Hyakunen Renbo, and plenty of others like Cage of Eden.
BTW, wow, One Piece has a lot of fans; my freind told me one piece fans are rare, but I guess he was misinformed.
You do understand the original gate is a light novel, not manga, right? Manga is adapted from the light novels.
Also, the manga is a monthly publication, not a weekly, iirc. It would be hard for monthly pub to compare with a weekly, because IT HAS LESS RELEASES.
@15:15 not sure who were you replying to but I'm aware that light/web novels is mostly adapted into manga forms.
Whether it's LN/manga, biweekly or monthly, as long as readers have access to them, there is bound to be unkind remarks no matter how good or supposedly bad they are. I blame this behaviors on easy access to what we knew as the internet where people of all age groups can sign-up then login almost on every sites.
agreed
@06:01
Wow, I'm surprised most of the titles you mentioned is the ones I knew of, even those from decade ago, I'm 35 year-old lol I'd say we have quite similar tastes because many youngsters did find faults with a couple of those you cited, most notable would be Gate. Which initially drew some backlashes for apparently being controversial since the story sounds like rewriting history if it isn't a fictional work to some readers.
One piece has it own bragging rights since it went into the Guinness Book of World Records, in case the link doesn't work. :)

Suprised Gintama isn't higher will all the amazing arcs Sorachi has been putting out.
It is a chart from Oricon with reviews of manga sold in Japan, what's so surprising that some western fans doesn't really like stories heavily influenced by Japanese culture? Shingeki no Kyojin has an european feels to it, which is why it is well received even in the west.
What are you trying to say? If it is a chart of japanese sales, what the hell do western fans have to do with it?
And what does Shingeki no Kyojin have to do with Gintama? Since the original is asking about Gintama and not SnK...
@05:26 because haters citing "shit list" this and that usually has the mindset that every single lists, polls or charts featured on this site is for western fans only. There are people who only seek out western themed manga & anime either unknowingly or just outright refuse to admit they can't tolerate eastern cultures. My point is, you can't compare the preference of readers in the east with the west.
I'm aware my initial post is phrased incorrectly hence another post to clarify things up.
When I said I was surprised I just meant "Oh I thought that this was more popular in Japan."
I wasn't saying the list was shit or complaining about it. Hell, wasn't even comparing preferences between east or west, I don't even know what the "west" thinks about Gintama, I just simply thought it would have had more sales than what was listed.
why a question mark?
Where's To Love Ru Darkness?! Momo Chan best girl!
For any best sales chart, its almost always going to be filled with weekly publications, not monthly. Well, mostly because weekly would have more volumes to sale.
A montly would have to be quite a monster to be able to keep something that comes out 4 times as often.....
Fans are probably starting to get tired of the same TLR formula
Because Rito gae beta ruined that echii manga alot. So they removed that shitty gae and put a prota like Basara from Testament they sure rape one pieceofshitt
Is the Kingdom manga any good?
just think of it like a bullshit dynasty warriors version of 3 kingdoms during the unification of china.
its good if u like stuff similar to sangokushi, except its story is supposed to be from an even older timeline.
it's very good^^
Shokugeki no Soma <3
This is ONE piece of shit taste list!
i believe "just because its popular dont mean its good" applies here.
japs confirmed for poor taste, as is usual with such lists.
Spoken like a true hipster.
Or maybe like a true redneck.
lol, said two fanboys.
One Piece is basically the Dragon Ball of the modern age in terms of popularity.
