I'd imagine the Pokemon world has a ridiculously high amount of trainers killed by their own pokemon due to accidental death or them just being bad or abusive trainers.
And that makes me realize something else, some of these creatures are only taken out of their balls to fight, guy has 150+ pokemon there's no way he socializes with every last one of them.

And that's another source of dread for this world, good luck getting a psychotic death beam shooting giant monster who once belong to a trainer who used it to beat multiple leagues under control without a metric shit ton of casualties.

I'd actually like to live in a world where you could be some kind of monster-raiser (with mechanics far more convenient than a real life animal-tamer and creatures with a mortality rate far lower than real life pets). Still, I'd have to question one's sanity if you'd want to live in the world of Persona 4 (or any other Megami Tensei game for that matter, though granted, P4's a lot more optimistic in comparison). Consider you're living in some kind of eerie, often fog-smitten village with numerous mysterious deaths and the chance of yourself trying to kill you. Hell, even the monster-raising aspect of it seems kinda short-changed, considering a very, very select number of people are even capable of summoning multiple Personas (and that's assuming you're among the small amount of people who know to enter the TV in the first place). Not everyone gets the harem either; in short, it's a somewhat sucky place to be if you happen to be anyone besides Yuu.

It's the reason why I didn't point out for instance that you can die in a single hit in the Mario world unless you've touched/eaten a mushroom to get bigger since if I'm including mushrooms then extra lives would also be a thing.

I don't think you want to live in Gensokyo. First and foremost, canon-wise, humans-fear-youkai is deliberately enforced to ensure that the youkai can keep existing.
Next, life there is practically feudal. That means you got to smear your own crap all over your field to grow some vegetables.
Third, the youkai will come stir some crazy crap up to make you go all scared of them every night, because you being afraid of them is what keeps them existing. They are mandated to go parade around your town, your *one* town if they want to continue to exist.
Finally, going outside makes you liable to getting eaten by a youkai. Yes, that thing does happen in canon. The one person who can keep you alive is just this one shrine maiden and this one witch. They are only two persons for the whole village so you are likely to luck out.
Don't even bother looking for Mokou. She almost never leaves the Bamboo Forest and if you go there you are bound to get lost unless a rabbit comes your way.
It's not that bad, apparently. ZUN describes it as a "peace-addled world" (平和ボケした世界) and both people-eating and youkai-exterminating appear to be sayings, as none of his works(?) contain reference to actual cases of either. The only youkai that get killed are fairies, who come back later. The bigger ones lose the match and then hang out with the winners. Villagers only go missing or get eaten in doujinshi ZUN wasn't involved in.
Youkai appear even in the human village. Rinnosuke is even half-youkai. Looking at the friendship/danger matrix in Perfect Memento, it seems typical that most are either very friendly or normal toward humans. The ones that aren't, often have their own zones you can easily avoid, except maybe Rumia and Mystia.
The world certainly looks feudal. Hard to say how feudal, as it's been a pocket dimension for centuries. A lot of crap from the outside world seems to leak in, like magazines and gadgets. I'm sure the Haber Process would be pushing it pretty far, I agree.

Yeah, there's tons of hot, ass-kicking chicks, but 1) how do we know that that's the norm in their world rather than the story happening to focus on a small number of extremely well-endowed types, and 2) what luck does the average Joe have of scoring with them? Still, just having a world where Katsuragi is real doesn't seem too bad.
In Senran Kagura, millions of bystanders get killed every time something marginally important happens to the world--the progression of ninjutsu, the ressurection of the Yoma-Slayer, a student loses her panties at school...
King of Fighters? If you aren't a fighter, you're collateral. If you're too smart to be collateral? You're secretly a fighter. There is no way out of either being the stepper or the stepping stone.
In these troubled times, can anyone imagine how dangerous most of these worlds would be like with the inclusion of terrorists? Or, hell, let's just say "with the inclusion of crime" or "the militairy"... Run a search for realistic Pokémon images and consider if you would actually really want to see a world where people murder each-other or go to war against each-other with those things as their weapons. And do you REALLY expect the person who catches Dialga, Palkia and/or Arceus not to go mad with power and attempt to remake the universe in hirs image?
