MMO turned reality series Overlord has become the next legendary franchise to collaborate with the Korean-developed “TalesWeaver” MMORPG, bringing several characters from the anime into the game as NPCs as well as a surplus of special items that may very well satiate the lusts of those in need of an Overlord game.

The collaboration event is underway now and will be available until December 16th.
Wow, I can’t believe this game is still around. I played this when I was like ten or something.
and ur now what 11?
I find it sad how those Sprites for them look so fitting to be on a disgaea dlc, which would be awesome since it’s very fitting, but didn’t happen yet.
OMG man. Laharl vs. Ainz, Flonne vs. Albedo and Etna sexy-beaming the rest. Would pay for it.
Thats HILARIOUS
Is it like RO?
I played that game for a while on japanese and korean servers, the english version was canceled after the open beta sadly. I also played RO for way too long.
There’s similarities (mmmo, grindfest) but I enjoyed TalesWeaver a lot more, there’s a lot of quests and story, there’s a simple combo system. Some of the music was quite good. And I like the 2D look, there’s no 3D aside from skill effects and some bigger enemies, it looked a lot better than RO. Also, all characters have multiple skill trees, kinda like Diablo. What’s fun is that it was pretty easy to reset your levels and put your XP in the skills you wanted to try.
I haven’t played it in years but seeing this news I kind of want to play it again, lol. Sadly there’s no private servers like RO and the JP and KR servers don’t allow foreign IPs.
I had no idea, I’ve seen English players on the Japanese server before.
Pretty sure they use a VPN or proxy of some kind, I don’t really want to go to that trouble…
Holy crap, that looks like something out of one of those Nexon MMOs from the early 2000s which never made it out of beta…
Actually Talesweaver has had quite a successful run worldwide, it has had an English release, been released in China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan etc. It’s a story driven MMORPG, you select a character and play through their storymode, some of which are quite good.
It’s been around for well over a decade now and continues to go strong. I play on the Japanese servers and use Cloe Da Pontina, only like level 74 though.
It makes quite a bit of sense, specially with one of the few korean LNs that made it big…
I agree, the game had quite a lot of content updates, which added new chapters/characters/areas/skills/items etc for free. For a Korean made game, they were very generous.
I Mean a Japanese Author WITH a Korean Illustrator so ya It’s not Korean.
Err overlord is a Japanese Novel WITH a Korean Author.
