Akihabara has spawned a hefty new maid cafe for crazed otaku to clamor over, recruiting maids of a “BBW” body type as its main draw, a rare enough gimmick to have attracted some attention, along with both encouragement and ridicule.
The cafe, given the ever original name of “Shangri-La” was created to help promote “body confidence” as well as to emphasize that beauty can exist in a person no matter what their body size; a heavyweight notion that has been gaining much critical mass lately.

They tried to act cute but meaning of cute means something that is small thus suits asians. They were either butchy, tall or some big like these girls...so nothing was cute at all. Didn't last long.
