Judging from image 34, I'm not sure that she needs more depth. It's really more about displaying what depth she already has. Image 54 demonstrates this admirably.
Her degenerate suitors really are wretched, led by the lead cretin. Too bad for her that she's probably not getting anything more than a petting session from the hero. But despite the general mood of this episode, it had its fun moments.
Suginami is the best Girl in this Anime, she's not my favorite but she it the best.
