Naruto, Onpiece, Detective Conan not tied for first. I am disappoint.
First time I heard of Detective Conan, I imagined a barbarian investigating the riddle of steel.
I laugh my head off. lol
Where the fuck is Bleach? It just keeps getting worse and worse
Bleach has been doing better recently.
Dropped for "being too long."
Most people probably dropped Bleach for "being shit."
No Bleach?
Honestly, I'm probably going to drop both Bleach and One Piece soon enough... I barely, if at all, remember the plot of the older chapters by now.
Bleach gave plenty of other reasons to drop it before length became much of an issue.
Bleach isn't hard to read though. It's mostly pages filled with white or black spaces. lol
It is considering the inane plots they've been coming up with.
Bleach is so unpopular that even Japan doesn't care about it anymore.
Which made me wonder why Shonen Jump hadn't pulled the plug on it yet. Sure they may have tried keeping it alive for the first one or two years after it became unpopular because it's still a big hitter title, but letting Kubo repeat all his obvious mistakes for 5 years is ridiculous.
Oh sure not like japan bad taste with K-on or idol master, those where masterpiece.
its kept alive by stupid americans who import it.
most Americans have total shit taste in anime and further, don't even realize they aren't the demographic the anime producers are aiming for anyway. so the only things that get ported over are either really cheap IP or big shiny overdone pieces of crap.
Bleach had my interest up to the point that Rukia got rescued in Soul Society. I tried to stay interested after that, but it just got too difficult to do.
My only real experience with Bleach was with the anime, but that only had my interest up to the point when Rukia WENT to the Soul Society. As in, before the first season even ended. At that point, they wrapped up some parts of the initial plot in uninteresting ways, and set other parts aside without any indication of when they might get back to them, and instead started piling on new characters and scenarios that I didn't really care about.
I continued watching the second season in hopes that things would get back on track, but it quickly became apparent that they were planning on spending the entire season getting Rukia back. Of course, in typical Bleach fashion, it ended up taking them TWO entire seasons, intermixed with piles of filler.
And of course, once they did rescue her, the series didn't really get back to what it was originally like, instead being diverted to yet another random side story. Production values also seemed to be on a steady decline, and I ended up dropping the series halfway through the fourth season.
Maybe it's a little more watchable if you can sit down and view a bunch of episodes in a row, but I was watching them weekly as they came out, and for that, the pace of the series is excruciatingly slow. Each episode worth of content gets dragged out into two episodes, often with a filler episode in between to slow things down even more. What I saw of the series had its good points, but they dragged everything out so much that it was tedious to get to them.
one piece, I'm going to be the hokage.
Bleach: Fight against monsters. Fight against shinigami. Fight against quincies. Fight against hole people. Fight against quincies.
I think that's accurate enough.
There were quincy fights?
yep. That's pretty much what this final arc is. I forget each chapter 2 weeks after it's done.
I dropped bleach and Naruto when shounen jump became digital only. I'm not paying for 1's and 0's that I can't access if my internet fails for some reason.
I dropped Naruto when Sasuke and Naruto went SSJ3 and turned into Blanka or whatever.
I dropped Bleach when Ichigo died and then didn't die but died and then didn't die vs Ulquiorra.
Both were pretty terrible before I completely gave up on them though.
I could tell you about the adventures of the straw hat crew if you'd like. If you can't remember that, you are an idiot. With a hilariously terrible and selective memory.
Probably as selective as One Piece is with characters that are allowed to die.
One Piece's length is definitely the main reason why i haven't really tried to read it.
One Piece's length is the reason WHY I read it. Short manga I just breeze through quite quickly. So I tend to look for longer series in order to occupy myself more in my free time.
I instead look for stuff with more plot. It's possible to catch up with one piece in like two weekends.
One Piece and Naruto are the worst offenders. Are the fans of these series lobotomized? Why would you waste your time with this shit when there's so much better stuff out there?
And what about Golgo 13, far older than One Piece & Naruto together!!
Just because you don't like them doesn't mean both series' fans are lobotomized. Also, a few minutes a week is hardly wasted time. Since they came out in the same day, fans are free to read/do what they want after.
He's so very right, though.
I know people are dropping the anime because of the slow pace, but the manga? One Piece for life!!!
And it's probably truth because it's not going to end before I die...
Because (and I know this sounds ridiculous) people don't have to read one manga at a time.
Why limit yourself when you can read those along with the other manga?
Because 9.9/10 times, people who read Onpiece or Naruto don't read anything else.
You fail at statistics, do a better job pls.
That's just a gross assumption. People who read manga are more likely to branch out.
>gintama
>not bleach
I'd expect sitcom types to go on for a while, but more plot driven things like bleach shouldn't last forever. Bleach specifically should have ended after Aiezen arc.
Hey! Thanks for the ReiNand. :D
Agreed. It was a good place to end, wrapped up all the arcs, and gave closure to pretty much all the characters as well. I honestly just stopped after the Aizen Arc ended, as that was the ideal ending not only for me, but in my opinion, the series as a whole.
hajime no ippo pls
FUCKING. THIS.
Currently its at 111 volumes, and well over 1,100 chapters. I mean, it's fucking amazing, but I havn't kept up since volume 85. Really should catch up, though.
as a general rule i drop anything that i cannot catch up to current with a day or two of binge reading.
What about Bleach?
LOL..
Dropped Bleach at around 125 ep's or so.
Glutton for punishment.
What was I thinking?
Yeah, that's my qustion too.
I personally dropped Nisekoi, because the mangaka just dragged it out so long with the silly harem girl circling.
"dragged out"
Aa! Megami-sama and Love Hina among others come to mind....
Love Hina was a lot more interesting when it wasn't silly as shit.
Aa! Megami-sama felt more like an excuse to draw page-size pretty pictures than anything else.
Yea that sure is being dragged out...
you must be newcomers .....
Nisekoi is going to end soon.
Nisekoi is always going to send soon.
