>not bleach
I'd expect sitcom types to go on for a while, but more plot driven things like bleach shouldn't last forever. Bleach specifically should have ended after Aiezen arc.
Hey! Thanks for the ReiNand. :D
Agreed. It was a good place to end, wrapped up all the arcs, and gave closure to pretty much all the characters as well. I honestly just stopped after the Aizen Arc ended, as that was the ideal ending not only for me, but in my opinion, the series as a whole.
at least there is not kimi no iru machi in the list *safe*
The problem with Seo is not the lenght, it's the rage.
Altough I've finished all his works (except Fuuka, it's still ongoing).
One Piece's length is definitely the main reason why i haven't really tried to read it.
One Piece's length is the reason WHY I read it. Short manga I just breeze through quite quickly. So I tend to look for longer series in order to occupy myself more in my free time.
I instead look for stuff with more plot. It's possible to catch up with one piece in like two weekends.
One Piece and Naruto are the worst offenders. Are the fans of these series lobotomized? Why would you waste your time with this shit when there's so much better stuff out there?
Why limit yourself when you can read those along with the other manga?
Because 9.9/10 times, people who read Onpiece or Naruto don't read anything else.
That's just a gross assumption. People who read manga are more likely to branch out.
You fail at statistics, do a better job pls.
Just because you don't like them doesn't mean both series' fans are lobotomized. Also, a few minutes a week is hardly wasted time. Since they came out in the same day, fans are free to read/do what they want after.
He's so very right, though.
And what about Golgo 13, far older than One Piece & Naruto together!!
I know people are dropping the anime because of the slow pace, but the manga? One Piece for life!!!
And it's probably truth because it's not going to end before I die...
Because (and I know this sounds ridiculous) people don't have to read one manga at a time.
Right, only Golgo 13 never gets old.
Naruto has the worst image of the bunch.
The One Piece is the worst because its drawn normally not the fucked up way the female bodies look in it at all. If it were accurate it would have 2 inch waist and 32 inch hips.
Really that your reason hahaha. One piece has a ton of unrealistic characters and that your complain of a woman body not been unrealistic.
Good one, no one drops Hayate the Combat Butler :)
Yeah but it feel like the end is near.
Naruto, Onpiece, Detective Conan not tied for first. I am disappoint.
One Piece? This is blashemy! Nobody drops One Piece!
Is now a mafia?
Because Oda dropped it first. Im sure many of the ones who dropped were in for the actual discovery of the One Piece treasure, and were turned off by the endless bosses that are in the series. This is almost like Dragon Ball if Akira Toriyama decided to put off the journey of finding the Dragon Balls and placed dozens upon dozens of arcs and bosses in place of it.
We already know the ending : the real treasure was the adventure.
Mark my words, tropes never die.
Power of friendships
Hey! Spoilers!
Bleach's not on the list because nobody cares.
I still cares, because after all this years, I cannot figure out why the tittle called "Bleach"
His hair color.
and that's the core plot so it was made to the tittle ?
He obviously bleached Rukia's black robes white in the first chapter.
^ Sir, you're a fucking savage. I'd bombard you with thumbs up if I could.
the eye bleach required after watching the anime.
It's because the Shinigami's job is to "cleanse the soul" guiding them to the Soul Society that's what the are doing when they defeat hollows too. But I guess since they haven't done that since the first arc and some filler I don't blame anyone for not knowing.
One Piece is a huge offender considering the author says he has the ending already. END IT ALREADY. Go out on top
He said that the series was only half way done. Going till 2025, or some stupid shit like that. I stopped after Robin joined the crew. I did have a brief resurgence during the imperial Down arc 'till Ace died, then I gave up on it again .
No. I love that it's continuing, it has not gotten old at all. It people just don't like it because it's long, that's their problem, not the story's.
I don't know how he does it, but the author really knows how to keep the story going.
Idk neither how oda keep trcking people that its a new fresh story. Visit new islands, goofing off, some crap happen, luffy get best because of something, everyone separate, run around the island for 50 chater and some villain or friend appears before they leave and repeat.
Oh yes we can't have someone been save and been a big crybaby for the entire arc.
True, but it doesn't change the fact that despite being similar each arc, the story always varies and is easy to tell apart from each other. That and every single charactr is unique in its own way.
And thats why manga is never taken seriously as an art form. Some Artists just don't care about their work. Its just about getting a pay cheque for as long as possible for a lot of them.
The problem isn't that it's long. The problem is that it's unnecessarily long. There isn't enough plot to justify the length.
No Jojo. No Ippo. List is better than expected.
First time I heard of Detective Conan, I imagined a barbarian investigating the riddle of steel.
I laugh my head off. lol
No Bleach?
Honestly, I'm probably going to drop both Bleach and One Piece soon enough... I barely, if at all, remember the plot of the older chapters by now.
Bleach: Fight against monsters. Fight against shinigami. Fight against quincies. Fight against hole people. Fight against quincies.
I think that's accurate enough.
There were quincy fights?
yep. That's pretty much what this final arc is. I forget each chapter 2 weeks after it's done.
Bleach isn't hard to read though. It's mostly pages filled with white or black spaces. lol
It is considering the inane plots they've been coming up with.
Bleach gave plenty of other reasons to drop it before length became much of an issue.
Bleach is so unpopular that even Japan doesn't care about it anymore.
Which made me wonder why Shonen Jump hadn't pulled the plug on it yet. Sure they may have tried keeping it alive for the first one or two years after it became unpopular because it's still a big hitter title, but letting Kubo repeat all his obvious mistakes for 5 years is ridiculous.
its kept alive by stupid americans who import it.
most Americans have total shit taste in anime and further, don't even realize they aren't the demographic the anime producers are aiming for anyway. so the only things that get ported over are either really cheap IP or big shiny overdone pieces of crap.
Oh sure not like japan bad taste with K-on or idol master, those where masterpiece.
Bleach had my interest up to the point that Rukia got rescued in Soul Society. I tried to stay interested after that, but it just got too difficult to do.
My only real experience with Bleach was with the anime, but that only had my interest up to the point when Rukia WENT to the Soul Society. As in, before the first season even ended. At that point, they wrapped up some parts of the initial plot in uninteresting ways, and set other parts aside without any indication of when they might get back to them, and instead started piling on new characters and scenarios that I didn't really care about.
I continued watching the second season in hopes that things would get back on track, but it quickly became apparent that they were planning on spending the entire season getting Rukia back. Of course, in typical Bleach fashion, it ended up taking them TWO entire seasons, intermixed with piles of filler.
And of course, once they did rescue her, the series didn't really get back to what it was originally like, instead being diverted to yet another random side story. Production values also seemed to be on a steady decline, and I ended up dropping the series halfway through the fourth season.
Maybe it's a little more watchable if you can sit down and view a bunch of episodes in a row, but I was watching them weekly as they came out, and for that, the pace of the series is excruciatingly slow. Each episode worth of content gets dragged out into two episodes, often with a filler episode in between to slow things down even more. What I saw of the series had its good points, but they dragged everything out so much that it was tedious to get to them.
one piece, I'm going to be the hokage.
I dropped bleach and Naruto when shounen jump became digital only. I'm not paying for 1's and 0's that I can't access if my internet fails for some reason.
I dropped Naruto when Sasuke and Naruto went SSJ3 and turned into Blanka or whatever.
I dropped Bleach when Ichigo died and then didn't die but died and then didn't die vs Ulquiorra.
Both were pretty terrible before I completely gave up on them though.
I could tell you about the adventures of the straw hat crew if you'd like. If you can't remember that, you are an idiot. With a hilariously terrible and selective memory.
Probably as selective as One Piece is with characters that are allowed to die.
