The ignorant American populace have again been reacquainted both with the world of video games and fine art courtesy of “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert, which has introduced the “Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses” symphony, performing various musical pieces from the esteemed Zelda series.
The soothing symphony:
Unlike with Letterman’s rather vacant nature during Hatsune Miku’s Late Show debut, Stephen Colbert has a well-known penchant for gaming, which seems to have paid off yet again.

keep the America shit up, and you'll lose all your sponsers
Angry 'Murican sure is angry!
Sakaku is based in Hong Kong and all sponsors are localised. So quit your whining.
No they're not, there were ads from Funimation and Konami US. I've already put a stop to the Funimation, so sancom can no longer get paid.
you did nothing you have no power, asshole
Wow 2:54, that's some grandiose delusional shit you got happening there. You should really try to get out more. You'd realized that the US isn't the center of the universe.
I dont get why you're saying "ignorant american populace"
As a part of the 'American populace', I have to agree that most people here have no idea what good music is. That said, opinions here will be as far as they are wide.
This is truly glorious. Keeping a full-on orchestra together is a hard legacy to uphold, and it's extremely classy too. Even some of us here in the states can appreciate good music. Especially when it's done out of passion, not out of greed.
Colbert again one-upping everyone else.
"The ignorant American populace have again been reacquainted both with the world of video games and fine art courtesy of “The Late Show” with Stephen Colbert,"
Yeah, cause you know, video game is totally not popular in America...
I like the way he said a worldwide tour, bet it ain`t comin to my town......[no I don`t live in the USA either]
Colbert always does it right.
He might just be trying to win back gamers after putting Anita fucking Sarkeesian on his show.
This is the first thing I thought, too.
They ridicule concerns of game industry corruption as if gaming shouldn't be taken seriously, despite the fact that the game industry is currently worth $91 billion dollars, and even go so far as to shine the spotlight on professional victim frauds like Sarkeesian.
Then they turn around and show appreciation for game music? Too little, too late.
Dude, let Sankaku talk shit about whatever the hell they want. Clearly nothing stops us.
"Ignorant American populace"? This coming from a site that continually posts anime and anime characters popularity polls when clearly the list is always shit.
The phrase "ignorant American populace" doesn't necessarily mean that ALL Americans are ignorant. It could just be mentioning them as a specific group, i.e. the portion of the American population that is ignorant; "the American populace" versus "the ignorant American populace".
To add to this, the general group of people that still watch late night TV shows might tend to be a fairly ignorant group. It doesn't take much brain power to sit yourself in front of a TV and passively watch things happen, while laughing along with the on-cue audiences.
Do nothing but eat, sleep, work, and zone out in front of the TV for a few decades and people tend to end up pretty ignorant.
Only in America.
Getting butthurt from reading this eh? How does it feel to have this reversed onto the likes of you immature muricans kids talking shits all over the internet. Yeah, go ahead and down vote this comment using multiple fake accounts lmao.
There are rude people of all nationalities on the Internet, case in point.
@18:56 that may be true but only muricans will threaten to shoot you after losing an argument or even tell you to shut up because the internet is invented by them. Now, how rude can other nationalities be when compared to muricans huh?
Not sure if you have a vendetta, or an inferiority complex, either way you are a sad person.
I agree so much with this. There are a ton of simpletons who watch public-access television and almost nothing else. This is part of the reason why anime is still considered fairly niche in the west, and why braindead entertainment such as reality TV actually manages to succeed.
ewew
Getting butthurt now aren't ya? Having to retort to insulting others just to downplay the mentality damage you received from an article, how pathetic can you get. Oh wait, you just showed how ignorant your kind is by writing that comment. Other than shit and the F-word, what else can muricans think of in general?
Sooo.. what's all the fuss over this?
Hey, who created Pong? An American. 'Nuff said!
bet it surprised some people because they didnt realize games can actually have amazing sound tracks
