It's good to see RWBY is back on track. I was worried it would be on permanent hiatus after Monty Oum's tragic passing.
what is happening in Syria is tragic. what happened to Monty... is not. stop diluting words.
what happened in World War 2 is tragic. what is happening in Syria... is not. stop diluting words.
one death is a tragedy. a million is a statistic.
"a western anime fan"
Isn't this Monty Oum?
It was created by him, sadly he passed away last year. But they are continuing on with his vision.
and his notes
Yes. His vision of "shitty anime tropes: the series".
god, fuck off - you smell like troll underpants.
that makes it sound almost interesting.
there is a reason why autotune exist. they can talk but god forbid not sing.
use autotune when it matters
Are they using MMD to animate this?
no, it is animated using Smith Micro's Poser software. it was monty's choice of animation software to do his fight scenes if i am not mistaken.
That software is ok if you want to do a simple pose with crude positioning, but animation on it must be horrible.
something like it.
i really hope it keeps its quality.
That would imply it has any quality.
This series was shit from start to finish. Don't see how people can love this garbage but then I remember Naruto/Bleach.
I bet you people have every fujoshi and moblob series on blueray with preorder bonuses.
your opinion is invalid.
Jesus christ. God forbid someone talk about your shit tastes IRL. "Moblob" and fujoshit are on the same level as this garbage. Go back to cumming on your Asuna figures then licking it off.
Westerners should just stick to doing cartoons which is an art style unique to them, but then there were people arguing that anime and cartoon is just a differences between art styles...and look what we get here. Isn't the characters, story-line and almost everything just plain cliche if that is what haters of anime always had to say.
18:46 that doesn't make any sense. Where you are born shouldn't influence the style you use. People should use the style they are comfortable with.
Avatar: The Last Airbender and Legend of Korra were done in anime style and those were amazing.
@19:55
But you didn't check out the credits of both shows you cited, if I recalled correctly there were a handful of Japanese involved.
@20:19
And animation was done by Koreans.
Yeah, I did said if I recalled correctly but Korean has started to "copy" the anime styles very well, this I attribute to their similarity in cultures. Just look at the series Freezing, it were done by Koreans (both writer and artist). Unless the said westerners had been living in Japan since young, otherwise they won't be able to draw in anime styles which is associated with cuteness in general.
I love the series, and the I love the first two opening songs. But good god this opening song was terrible. It made me cringe in pain.
I went in expecting to be snarky to you.
But no… you called it, alright.
Calling this shit "Immensely popular" is a huuuuge overstatement. And most people only watch it because of how bad it is. The only people who enjoy it are teen girls and waifu retards.
don't forget wannabe anime makers ruby is not a anime bitches
And those who love their lesbian ships. Seriously, the fanbase is so fucking gay
meh totally unimpressed, this doesnt live up to monty's work at all
may he rest in peace and not have to come back from the dead and fix this shit
Wouldn't have "Created by Monty" if he didn't make it.
Music made my ears bleed and animation was crap
The animation and voice acting were crap to begin with.
The go back to your sponge bob you ass
suck your dads cock bitch
First two were not that great to begin with. Lazy animation *cell shade cgi, blacked out background characters* and a story that it would be polite to call WAY over arching.
Its like a book someone started writing when they were a teenager and never stopped writing, and yet, in spite of there being a million characters, they still decided to be lazy and fill in the background with shadows.
Only saving grace were the fight scenes, and they were extremely few and FAR between in the episodes.
So, your gripes are that it's simplistic and that background characters were shadows? Spoiler: it's based on existing fairy tales, meaning it's going to feel similar to a lot of things. Practically every single 'new' IP is based off of SOMETHING that's already been told, it's just a matter of how interesting you can make your version. Is RWBY the pinnacle of story telling? No, but it's unique enough in what it does to deserve some praise.
And, the shadow people were only present in the -first- season because there weren't enough people working on it to do anything more. They addressed this in 'behind the scenes' videos and even showed how much the background buildings had improved between seasons. Not that I expect you to watch the show, but you'd definitely see the difference in production quality if you had actually watched it.
By your logic, people should stop saying negative remarks about anime as well but do those haters care, I think not. Don't get me wrong, I'm also defending anime against haters but no matter how well your argument is, they will just say - it's the internet, I say what I want.
If having a "behind the scenes" footage actually offset the hatred, then you'd be surprised that anime companies had done that before but to no avail. People will still find faults with a show even if it is a "masterpiece", a pity that is part of the human nature...
It looks the same.
One thing that bugged me about when they showed the opening animations is that when the show aired, we got what felt like a TV trim of the OP. I hope they don't do that again. It was obnoxious.
may you rest in piece monty :(
Go to nerdist.com for the preview seems without Monty the direction of the fight scenes are not as good
I would be ashamed to even watch this.
No it's not. it the most meh out of the three.
Someone should give those girls a vocal lesson. And teach whoever put together instruments that rock is not about bashing instruments.
Overall impression of OP: Twilight the animated series
I'm glad someone is mentioning how amateurish this rock is.
Most of the voice actresses are from Funimation. You can't get water from a rock you know. No matter how hard you try.
Hehe. You made me rember a Donald Duck comic I read yearsago, about how that genius dude made "rock water". Apparently, it was preatty heavy
cinematography in this OP is pretty bad, might have worked with different music. remember kids, when you can't be good, but want to be cool, at least learn the basics of pacing.
just watched the previous OPs. much better pacing and the second was really good. now the third looks really bad, like a proof of concept without final edits. especially the scenes lifted from OP2 are really sad.
The show must go on. . . Can't wait for dat jap dub, though.
