Depends... how old are these kids? Because really, many of these are not suitable for kids under 10, they just wouldn't understand the subject matter.
Or how about that storage room scene with Kyou from Clannad?
and where is GTO!
Some of the classics:
Patlabor.
Ghost in the Shell.
Sailor Moon.
Lupin the 3rd Series and Movies.
The Ghibli Movie Collection of course.
Of the "newer" stuff:
Hyouka.
Dennou Coil.
Yuru Yuri.
Lucky Star.
Moretsu Pirates.
Dusk Maiden of Amnesia.
AHHhhh...
Bodacious Space Pirates..
Good show!
Dennou Coil! That should've made the list, awesome anime for both kids and adults alike.
Dennou Coil is the best most underrated anime in history.
I wouldn't show my kids the abomination known as onepiece.
From kids viewpoint One Piece is not worse than Simpsons or Wile E. Coyote.
One Piece is like the most popular series of the modern generation in Japan.
I'd show'em KissxSis, Aki-Sora, To Love-Ru,Kodomo no Jikan and can't forget Yosuga no Sora.
Yes. Kojika should be #1. Do not forget Astarotte no Omocha.
Very good selection
Oni Chichi for the daughters.
Boku no Pico is a good kids show, where is it?
In our harddisks.
One Piece is something that will be seen by my children, I probably won't live long enough for the final episode to show up, lol.
Sancom list "Anime You'd show your neighbor's children" "Bible Black"
(#8) inb4 the said children start bullying and harassing traumatized friends to depression and/or suicide because they're taught by an anime that it's a means to an end.
Showing Naruto is more like a punishment to the children.
20 should be 1, just so that children get scared the fuck out
that and Shigurui
"Dad, where do babies come from?"
"Well, you're in school now, so you deserve a decent answer…"
>TIME FOR PISU HAME
Boku no Pico
XD
Magipoka, Spice and Wolf, Outlaw Star, Asobi Ni Iku Yo!
Oni chichi
Ah, only people without children actually voted. That explains the list.
what no Di Gi Charat?
its extremely kid friendly, especially the Panyo Panyo prequel. ive shown it to my friend's daughter and my niece and nephew already. they all loved it. hell, why isnt cardcaptor sakura on this list either for that matter? thats next for them to watch once they are old enough to have the attention span to watch it.
and yeah, im pretty sure everyone who voted on this list never had children of their own, or had family members/friends with children for that matter. very few on this list i'd consider suitable for children, save for maybe the americanized versions of pokemon and digimon.
Yay! All hail our Mistress! Dejiko-sama! Did you brainwash them with 104 episodes of Di Gi Charat-nyo-nyo?
unfortunately they dont have the attention span for that yet. luckily the first series and panyo panyo are short enough they could sit through them (a single day each) without completely losing interest.
usada daibakuhastu! fu-fu-fu-nyo!
Forgot about the part about Dejiko planning to make and sell a yaoi doujinshi of the two Takuros, did we?
DiGi Charat has gotten progressively kiddier, but the original series was pretty vulgar. The Hooligan's bare ass cheeks, Fake Dejiko farting in people's faces, Dejiko punching the Gamers manager in the face and blood spewing out of his mouth, I could go on...
I would probably get killed by my wife but I'd show them some of these
Your hand won't kill you dood. Dood it's okay dood, your hand is harmless, dood.
dfq are those thrash animes?
If you show anime to your children, it should be at least that actually got plot like shinmai maou no testament...
children are too young to fully understand plot. pre-teens tend to be totally uninterested by it, and teenagers want nothing but explosions and constipated men grunting at each other.
Teenagers also like a good pair of plots... Or some tsundere DFC!
>Pokemon below Digimon
Yeah, this list is shit.
Pokémon games are great, the anime is shit in a bun. The worse seasons of digimon >> best seasons of pokemon
my young niece (she's still in pre-school) absolutely loved rozen maiden once she realized they are dolls. as popular as rozen maiden is, im surprised it didnt even make the list at all.
That Madoka is even on this list is ridiculous. Even if the kids aren't psychologically scarred by it, they won't understand what the hell is going on.
Also didn't Asuna almost get raped in Sword Art Online?
you must be new here
Japanese culture is completely different than the USA's
Asuna didn't get raped, her character is virtual. Nothing physically happened to her real body.
Who's the artist for the Boa Hancock pic and the Gintama pic (if they're by the same artist)? They're exquisite!
I wouldn't show Sword Art Online to anyone.
Wouldnt want my kids to watch these until they are at least 15, way to depressing/violent. Don't need my kids growing up like that, already have a nephew who thinks eating peoples brains and eyes is cool and hes only 10.
You kidding? My cousin was watching anime when she was like 8, proper shows too. Years later, nothing wrong with her. Your nephew clearly has mental health issues.
Your nephew should stay away from Plants VS Zombies or The Walking Dead, not anime.
Where is Boku no pico?
Not enough info. I'd need to know what age the children should be to make such a preference list for them to watch.
no Gundam or mecha animes?
