I want to say something positive and encouraging.... but after scrolling through....I think I'm too damn traumatized to even attempt it.
Holy crap, most of the people in these pictures are actually not fat!
I must have gotten a different set of pictures
it's called fat o vision, when all are fat, they no longer look that fat.
a friend of mine goes every year, ive gone twice. both times i couldnt really figure out why anyone would bother wasting money going in the first place.
here in north america we already have a day every year to laugh at fat people in poorly made costumes, its called halloween. far cheaper and its the same shit.
no no this is a day for the them to get together as giant children and waste money
Or, you know, attend the con's panels and meet the special guests attending.
Shhh, they don't know about that.
Catwoman in pic 24 could sit on my face.
Something about a curvy plus size catwoman is rather appealing.
Definitely. Her tits are huge.
Some costumes look like they have been made in 1 hour, but doesn't matter if they have a nice rack...cause that's what guys look at. :P
i'm a guy and i look at the costumes. they're almost always crap.
Well yes, basically a good rack can compensate for a bad costume. Because a good rack is what *everyone* looks at.
What happened to the stereotyping of asian females having flat chests? I'm surprised nobody mention that most of the western females on this list is flat, and the guyz is mostly skinny or short in height, What happened to the perfect image painted by haters of asian cosplayers that there are beautiful man and women everywhere in the state? where is the tall, muscular and handsome dudes, where is the babes with model figures, big racks and pretty faces? Oh, I know! Those ugly people isn't true blue americans, they don't have blue eyes, blonde hair, they are hispanic, yeah right!
The scantily-clad, pink-haired, tatted-up, fishnet-wearing, busty with erect nipples girl (aka #73) gets my vote...
...and my erection.
Ew her face isn't even attractive- and she's fat.
we've got a gay here kill it!
and later on women will complaint all around the internet that they are sexually harassed at cons.
wish i had that pic when the subject was discussed at
a comics blog.
I'd eat Mary Jane's (67) shit, and let Harley Quinn (139) piss all over my mouth. I'd rim job them both, and let them finger my ass.
By the way was MJ pantsu less? oh, i have a dirty mind because the pic makes me think that.
holy fuck why is this so bad, shit my eyes.
Westerners can cosplay too but it doesn't mean that it is any good lmao
If anyone recognized Wayne and Garthe you're too old.......just like ME!
We're not worthy!
I recognized the Barf cosplays.... I'm pretty sure Spaceballs is older and less well known then Waynes World.
Maybe in the USA, but in the rest of the world Spaceballs, comes on top.
I am so glad i am not the only one who got from where are this cosplays coming from, a lot of 80's stuff. Ghost,Busters, Spaceballs, Conan, woo those were cool flicks!
I highly doubt this will get any praise from the Japanese. I imagine it will mostly be comments wondering why Americans are so fat/ugly, why the costumes are so bad, who most of the characters are, and why the attractive females aren't more scantily clad.
Huge difference between the people cosplaying in the above pictures as a hobby and the japanese (semi-)professional models doing their generic pose routines in their 10k outfits.
Tbh, I enjoyed these much more since some of them were actually funny and even the good ones looked like they were the result of that person's efforts.
10k outfits? You must be exagerating by a factor of magnitude.
10k Yen not 10k USD.
Could also be misinterpreted as the quantity of outfits.
10k? no way specially since most are bikinies.
Seeings How We In The USA have been cosplaying way longer than japan ever has........
This is true. The first time recognizable cosplay occurred in conjunction with conventions was probably at the first World Science Fiction Convention in 1939. Forrest J Ackerman dressed up as a "futureman" for the event. (The costume appears to have been based on costumes in the movie Things to Come, bringing cosplay roots all the way back to H. G. Wells). The Japanese probably did not do cosplay in any appreciable way until Nobuyuki Takahashi saw it being done at the World Science Fiction Convention in 1984. There are a number of articles online about this.
That being said, I think Japan has perfected the art.
Not perfected. Whites start out looking much closer than anime couterparts. Big colored eyes and hair with white skin. Real Japs just can't compete without looking so fake.
@22:36 the person above is probably referring to cosplaying by pros, what is depicted here is just common folks with mediocre skills doing it for sake of the event, rarely as a hobby.
Yeah, "big colored eyes" only applies when anyone regardless of races is indoors(which is the case in this list of pic), or are you being delusional that people can open their eyes wide when exposed to strong sunlight? Big eyes indeed, never been to da beach before?
NO they can't 0_0
Okay. Now let's look at some pros. http://cosplay.kotaku.com/some-excellent-new-york-comic-con-cosplay-1736388069
Might even check this vid. Those cosplays are awesome

Plenty of cosplayers went with the good old "Jabba the Hut cosplaying as something else" motif, I see.
ohh, it's Jabba! i thought it was a turd!
Comicon cosplay fails, too many men, and too much clothing on the limited selection of women. Looks like the foreign barbarians haven't quite figured it out yet.
When the female cosplayers are consistently wearing more than the guys, that's when you know something is terribly wrong.
Go figure.
With all the MRA & GG assholes running around, I'm surprised there are any women left in skimpy cosplay outfits.
And thanks to them conventions will continue to become even more of a sausage-fest.
Wait what? Surely you mean to say "With all the SJW assholes" rite? Cause it's those peeps ruining shit, not MRA/GG
GG aside, MRA are just as bad for business as those SJW landwhales.
No, I meant exactly what I said you GG asshole.
Ahahaah are you fucking serious? Really? GG doesn't even care about cosplayers. Nice bait.
Pretty mediocre cosplay...
