The 2nd trailer to arrive for KanColle Kai has done well in pumping up Kantai Collection fans for its imminent arrival, though any potentially new content and mechanics have yet to be exposed – thankfully not likely to be of much concern to the more obsessed KanColle fanatics.

Originally targeted for a release in spring 2015 on the Vita, KanColle Kai has been pushed back for a second time to February 2016 – limited editions will come with a Kantai Collection Valentine’s-themed clear file.

I've been interested in playing KanColle, if only to see what all the hype's about. Never had the chance to play the DMM version (nor am I really interested in browser games to begin with), so if this is essentially just an offline version of that, I'm all for it.
i doubt this will be an "offline" version because of all the monthly rankings and leader boards there is in the vanilla version. Sure i can see them doing the main campaign offline, but the pvp and seasonal events would require an internet connection
That's pretty much what I meant. It's "offline" in the sense that Smash Bros. is offline. You're capable of interacting with other players, but a good majority of the game is playable without the need for a connection.
We need the anime to focus more on Yamato and Musashi.
And not one Shiratsu-class destroyer in sight. D:
