Borefest the anime. At least for this season. I almost fell asleep trying to watch this. I say almost becasue I stopped watching halfway.

Thought the episode was fine, it's only the first one anyways as it introduces characters and sets up the setting. This is just way too early for anyone to give a perspective on whether it's good or not. At least follow the "3 (episodes) or flee" rule before dropping something or the other.

People who are stupid don't like good things.
My favorite show of the season by far. If your IQ is below 130 you might not enjoy this though... seems like a background in programming or engineering knowledge would likewise aid in upping your level of interest in this so-far entrancing show.
And an interest or background in philiosophy (even cursory) would help in both in the comprehension and appreciation of it.
That's not saying much considering the series this season.

If this episode could at least tell us what the show is about, thta would be great. So far I assume it is a slice of life outdoor camping show.
Well it is based off of a novel. A slow start is somewhat expected. Had you bothered to google the story synopsis you may have noticed that.
To begin rating an anime or any show by just the first episode is basically calling Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu a piece of shit; because that is what the first episode was, even once you finish it all and understand whats going on it was still a terrible way to start a show.
But it's ok and I understand. Sankaku needs to clickbait and a lot fans will naturally be butt-hurt over a lack of fan service and senseless panty shots. Because we all know novels will have a fast-paced plot, underdeveloped characters, and plenty of fan service.
This show is boring as fuck. It's like taking a class on philosophy or some shit.
