Accel World Infinite Burst Announced

The Dengeki Bunko Autumn Festival event has divulged that a new season of Accel World is in the works, entitled “Accel World Infinite Burst” and bringing the return of yet another series situated within the confines of a virtual reality MMOxxx – a genre that has hastily become quite saturated.

What sets Accel World and SAO apart is the former has mecha style battles, some people may not notice it but both titles is by the same author under different artists for the Manga. I'd say this possibly sequel to the previous story looks very neat, can't wait to see it. :)

For the record. Whichever assclown reported it on Animenewsnetwork has messed up. This very much looks like a continuation of the story and not a "filler" season.
I hope that's the case. And i hope it's 2-cour again. It should be, unless they decide to make a movie. Heaven forbid.
I actually liked Accel World better than I did Sword Art Online. This is good news to me.

Yeah, I was left hanging at the end of season 2 of Log Horizon. That said, I'm glad to see more Accel World, it was fun.
Frankly, I'm not tired of online / vr / mmo themed anime yet, but I can see how it'd become a tired cliche quite soon if they don't dial back the number of them.
Unfortunately the web novel doesn't seem to have enough material for another season yet.
SAO is far superior to Accel World. Accel World has the most detestable MC in anime history. That is, unless you’re a ball of lard yourself to self-insert, lol.

I rather prefer SAO myself but then I haven't seen the anime for Accel World. The light novel... well Accel World lost me after about 7. Which honestly isn't that bad if you know me, since if you don't have me for the first bit I ain't staying so that I stayed that long really is a good word for it. I think Accel World ended up being too depressing even for me. Something about it just kept getting me down. Maybe a reread would remind me why or I keep going. Lol.

SAO and Accel World are both dumb, though admittedly Arita is less of a Stu than Kirito, considering his appearance, doesn't mean his ability to conveniently have "unique skill" and convenient harem is any less bullshit though.
You think SAO and Accel World is dumb but that is your opinion, for me, I liked both series so it is down to individual taste. If you don't like harem then stay away and just watch other shows to your liking, plus I don't think there is any harem in both series, just hints of it and nothing more. In fact both male protagonists is very faithful to their love interests, not surprising since they are written by the same author.
I stuck out SAO for the first series, second series I just couldn't take it.
Accel World was better imo, still abundant with the usual cliches though.
What I'm really waiting for in next season of No Game No Life.

Accel World was a great show throughout both cours. SAO started it off well first season than it just went to s#it...same goes for its second season. Can't believe it's taken this long to green light a new season.
