The US release of ultimate anime fighter Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax has released a gameplay video showcasing its multitude of characters, demonstrating not only their physical prowess in combat but their unique individuality in addition.

Still SEGA, yeah but under different staff members. I mean, just look what they did to Bare Knuckle (Street of Rage) back in the 90's. You'd think that was history but sadly, this practice hasn't changed much and is still in effect.
They do this because they know people will buy the outdated version to "support" localization of the newer version.
North American fans are absolute suckers and SEGA knows this, so they charge them full price for a year-old game.

That is just your opinion. I'd bet this will sits well with fans of M.U.G.E.N as it provide lots of freedom unlike certain fighting games with restriction like cool-down or slight pauses after a skill animation. This game is definitely for those who likes to do crazy combos and at the same time is a fan of Anime. :)
Have you played it? It's pretty bad and pretty much just one of those games so called otakus will buy to play their waifus.
Combos in the game consist of just mashing 1 or 2 buttons... for everyone. Learn to play 1 character, your pretty much done learning all of them.
The only neat thing about the game is seeing characters interact and I'm not talking about the shitty story.
Did you even watch the video? It has male character as well not just waifu for otaku mind you. But even if that's the case, what is your problem with games meant for otaku? This is better than all those FPS clones after clones Xbox chunks out but know what, people still suck them up. :/
Barely any male playables. Why did you think they mostly only added the girls from the LIGHT NOVELS. Misaka is not the focus in the LIGHT NOVEL yet the went with her. Hell, Railgun doesn't even have a light novel. Some characters arent even fighters and they chose the female characters. Theres over twice more female characters than male and all the females are waifu otaku pandering. With how shitty the combat is you'd expect them to add the male counterparts like the did with SAO.
Misaka has her own Light Novel as well as her own anime. Here a coin for you.

You yourself said some characters aren't even fighters, then let's just assume this is made for otaku, but what is your problem? Just because it is supposedly a fighting game and a genre that is within your hobbies gave you the right to deny others from enjoying it? Never did i say no one would enjoy the game, you even restated the target audience i stated and nowhere did i say you shouldnt waste your money on it.

How would you feel if someone who apparently doesn't like what you liked and came in just to write negative comments but had different views on the matter later or completely overlooked his/her previous comment (or it could be another anon's post) All I'm saying is - there is always something for everyone. Even if the game falls under a category you had a interest in, doesn't mean it is made for you and gives you the right to bash it.
Truth too hard to accept? No, I'm not those who easily becomes butthurt over one or two derogatory comments, but you see this kind of behaviors every time a game is announced, whether it is made for kids or adults, those self-centered haters is always fast to write craps.
