Dragon Ball Super has supplied viewers with more of the yelling and powering up that the series has become so synonymous with (and not always popular for) causing many to question what dragging out the rather bland fight scene will accomplish save guaranteeing a few more seasons.

It's Dragon Ball.
Dunno what people are expecting from it. Is there anyone here who actually watched the original DBZ?
Do you even remember how many episodes were wasted with Goku on the Serpent Road?
Complaining about screaming and powering up in Dragon Ball is the same as complaining about bananas being yellow.
When you watch a michael bay movie you're not expecting some amazing storyline. You're watching it for the explosions and stuff like that. The same thing applies to DBS
If you're watching DBS/DBZ for the storyline you're doing it wrong.
Hey, someone get's it.
I think the difference between DBS and DBZ is the fact that one had a manga that they had to addapt and try not to catch up to, that's why so much stuff was long and stretched. DBS has no such thing, so there's no excuse for it to be stretching stuff that we already saw in a movie in higher quality.
there is a manga ._.U go and search dragon ball super manga and you will see
The manga is running along side the show, it's not based off of a manga ¬__¬
with dragon ball kai it still dragged on
DB and DBZ sucked hard. GT was decent so that one got our hopes up for something that isn't shit.
I'm pretty alright with "DB and DBZ suck hard" but GT being good? It was Dragon Ball fanfiction.
No excuse me but you are not a fan... db and dbz are the good ones the non canon GT is the one which sucked very hard ... GT wasn´t made by the author thats because had so many flaws
Fucking bananas! Aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhrrrrrrrrrrrr "this can't be, the scouter must be broken... It's... It's over 9 of a thousandth!" (0.009)
They are still at this point?
Forget Dragon Ball Super, just watch the battle of gods movie instead.
The dragon Ball super manga is already setting the plot for Resurrection of F XD
It's depressing when you realize there can never be a kai cut of this.
There already is. It's called Battle of Gods: The Movie.
This is the fight that never ends
It goes on and on my friends
Some people started watching it not knowing what it was,
And they'll continue watching it forever just because . . .
Is Vegeta behind Bulma at 9:11 :)
This series is meant to be like 100 episodes long.
Sometimes i wished they'd reboot it in a regular anime pattern.
yeah that suppose to be common sense but common sense isn't common.
No. Anyone who actually grew up watching Dragon Ball knows it's not meant to be a regular "anime series" just like Naruto/Bleach/One Piece would never have worked as a "regular anime series", e.g 12 episodes per quarter year.
My eyes totally bugged out of my skull when the nudie mag came up like just like the old man.
Please, fapping to dragonball is so 1998
I think they're out of ideas for the series. The fact they're revisiting Beerus and Freeza suggests this. Had they hired some decent writers, and gave Toriyama the time to prepare something, I bet they could have done a Dragon Ball series with entirely new material.
Because this series will clearly end AFTER that. I mean it's not like it might take a bit to tell that giving Toriyama that time he needs.
I think most of us know what DB is about. DB its NOT famous because its original ideas in plots, its the same plot over and over again. Its famous because the way Toriyama showed the story, in a crative way. I mean, yes we have the same super-powered-villain and in the end one heroe (mostly Goku) save the day. If the villain its not destroyed can becomes an ally. My problem with DBS is that this anime/manga its not creative at all. A plain villain, egypcian cat.... Really? The way Goku reach the SSG, nothing special at all. All the concept is borring, even for a DB anime/manga. Some fan works are much better than this.
Now, maybe Toriyama signed for 100 already, sounds pretty possible, saint seiya omega signed for 50 eps, no matter what happened so... no matter the bad DBS could be, I think 8 season its a posibility.
Pretty sure DBZ is only popular because there was no competition in 1989. I mean, just look at the TV program from that year. You could watch Aoi Blink, which is about some boy and his flying pony. Or there was Konchuu Monogatari Minashigo Hutch. A show about some ugly Bee. Heck, most of the "anime" from that time don't even look anything like what we associate with anime today. You only had DBZ, Ranma 1/2, City Hunter 3, some mecha stuff, Yawara and Idol Densetsu Eriko. You've never heard of the last two because they were for girls. So if you were a boy at the time you only had DBZ, Ranma, some mecha stuff for little kids and City Hunter 3.
