There are no decent live action adaptations. They're all terrible.
Fully agreed!
you are so beta agreeing with another beta
Moyashimon, the only one. But they use a girl instad of a trap...
Rurouni Kenshin and Parasyte were the only good (if not great) ones outta the list. Don't be so jaded.
The Attack on Titan live action shouldn't be on here because it sucked monkey balls.
at least show the live action adaptation screenshots...kinda obsolete. and dont say "why dont you search it up?". thats not my job :D
That second picture... She looks alot like ROma from Kantai collection doesnt she?
No love for Cromartie High School or Sakigake Otokojuku? These people really have no taste.
How is the Higurashi movie?
Witness
- Detroit Metal City : 7/10
- Parasyte (1st part): 6/10
- Kenshin ___________: 6/10
- Kaiji _____________: 9/10
- 20 century boys ___: 8/10
- Gantz _____________: 7/10
- Death Note Films __: 8/10
- Death Note series _: 7/10
The more drama with less action it's better suited for good adaptation if they pick good actors.
SOLANIN!!
Rurouni Kenshins were actually watchable. Not in the sense of actual theater films, they felt like a made-for-tv-movie/straight-to-video, but watchable.
All the Gantz movies are actually OK. If you don't mind MASSIVE changes to the original story.
Parasyte was surprinsingly good. Weird, but good.
Shingeki no Kyojin was a fucking joke. And the SUPER MAJOR changes ruined too much of the story.
Gantz was terrible....
and where are your hits mr Nolan ?? ah let me guess, you fap only to 2d because 3d is haram
Nodame Cantabile was brilliant. The drama was better than both the source manga and anime combined. I seriously would recommend it to anyone looking for how to do a live action version of anything.
how good is the korean knockoff Cantabile Tomorrow in comparison?
2 chinese for me
What about imocho
Dat ImoCho ( * _ *) that live action movie was brilliant, and one of a kind~
nothing about imocho. but... Kimi No Todoke!? WHERE CAN I BUY!?
Damn it, Goro is cosplaying tippy and is going to rape chino in the upcoming live action adaption

This is like rating what dog turds taste the 'best'. Yeah, you can probably rank them. But it's still dog shit.
its like rating modern windows versions from vista onwards, defined by who's turd polish works the best.
The "Great Teacher Onizuka" Series was pretty good.
If this is a list of good live action adaptations(or decent) why is Shingeki no Kyojin on this list. I mean I am really confused here was there 2 versions of this movie or something because the one I watched looked like retards wrote a script and stole character names from the series smashed it all together and hoped someone would buy tickets to see it.
Shingeki no Kyojin definitely could have been better, but it really wasn't THAT bad. It's more enjoyable watching it without the mindset of having seen/read the anime/manga first.
^GIve this Anon a cookie! some one on the internet that has some sense o_O (and I agree, if you forget about source material for a sec on and watch the movie for what it is, it's actually really enjoyable~)
where is gyakuten saiban (ace attorney)???
Hell Yeah! Why the hell isn't it listed!?
Great Teacher Onizuka had a pretty good live action adaptation
I second that. Although it's pretty old so people might have forgotten it.
Iam pretty old and i can say NO!, the live action become a bored drama and they nerfed alot the personality of Onizuka.
Battle Royale?
Edge of tomorrow >>>>> all japanese live-action movies
Edge of Tomorrow is based off of a book, not a Manga.
its still an adaptation of one medium to another.
anime is still anime whether its based on a manga or a vn.
So the lord of the ring trilogy counts, because it adapted some books?
this is a list only for japanese works though.
if you were just making a general list about movies that come from adaptations, why not?
True statement with the exception of imocho >Edge of tomorrow >>>>> all japanese live-action movies
WTF!? Where's BECK~!!??? THe BECK live action was AWESOME! >:O
less shoujo-based movie adaptations?C'mon the first Nana movie was good and Adachi Mitsuru's Touch movie was a lot better than Parasyte.I've seen Gantz,Lupin III. and Yatterman(the only good part is Fukada Kyoko's cleavage)to me,contains messy and confusing plotlines.
