Who the hell watches anime just to be depressed? And who the hell makes these? There must be something wrong with people writing stories like this.
Hell, whoever created this needs to get laid.
They think they're edgy
I didn't watch this anime to be depressed. I honestly didn't know what it was until the first episode ended, then just kept watching because the premise seemed interesting.
To be fair, it wasn't your typical "everyone dies" depressing survival show until recently, and before then it was about the stress of surviving day to day when you're only stuck with a handful of people and are forced to live in 1 spot all the time just to survive.
But now it's going down the Walking Dead route (which has become a cliche by now, imho) and even as a fan of the genre, I have to say I'm feeling a little disappointed.
By now, I feel that the horror / grief /depression themed Zombie survivor story's been done to death, and that zombies in general are just overused now. It's not 2010 anymore.
Well then that makes it a successful anime in what it tries to accomplish then. Yes in western medias, in movies, games, novels, everything, zombie genre had been overbloated for years.
But you know what genre is overbloated for years in animes? Harem and moeblobs, please tell me how the 100th harem that came out every years are "original" and yet kimo otas are still feeding on this repetitive pool, now compare how many zombie(as in zombie apocalypse, not just having a zombie character) animes exists, I can only name this anime and HOTD.
This anime is intended to be a deceptive attempt, to bait people in for the moeblob premise, so if you feel trolled and don't like it, feel free to walk out because while I'm not saying it's the best thing, it's still better than most moeblobs and most other animes trying to be "oh-so-cool-I-just-killed-a-main-character" at least in terms of uniqueness.
Because blind, simple pleasure doesn't invoke enough emotion, and eventually dulls the senses until we're no longer capable of coping with real shit in the real world.
So instead you go for blind, simple heartbreak and emotional nausea. "Oh no everyone dies, so sad." Thanks, but no thanks.
I seriously hate edgy type animes they make these days...
Tell the same thing to Hollywood maybe?
There's only two ways to end this anime, Kill them all, or save them all.
I would personally want to save them all, but I think teh right thing to do would be to have them all killed.
I applaud all of you who do not appreciate the brilliance the studio done with this anime, the manga is not even remotely close to being able to get me emotional or anything, the anime captured my heart and I can't wait for the next episode.
Great work from the studio that doesn't really have that much experience in this kind of shows.
If no one else, I sure do appreciate this.

Sure seems like a lot of watchers (still checking the pics at least be EP 11...) can only handle this kind of show by assuming the worst ending and trashing what they're following rather than quitting. :)

Honestly, this anime is ending in 1 episode, and I don't know if it'll get a second season (although I hear the Manga is further ahead, plot-wise) so I'm guessing it'll just keep this pace until the end.
That said, I was kind of disappointed that Shovel-kun didn't start talking to Kurumi when she got infected to try and get her to release her Bankai. She really seems like she should have one.
That would of made the show 1000% better.
But really if the show had 1 male ALOT of this crap would of never happen. Yeah we get stuff done, That simple.
They can't give us the "Bad" ending...can they?!?!

No. They'll be rescued at the last moment.
Well rescue did come to them in the manga, but then the helicopter pilot lost control and crash landed and died. But that happened after the medicine part, but seeing how they're combining the rescued part as well, I don't know what the outcome for this will be. This never happened...
