The complete absence of mysterious light shafts and shadow demons means it's perfectly watchable without nips. Sure, it's not full exposure, but I've still enjoyed it a great deal so far.
Exactly... if censorship has to happen this was censorship done right for once. I wanted to stop for the BDs but I couldn't.. this anime is entertaining and funny enough to watch despite the censorship, but I'll be watching it again on BD.

How the hell did you miss the point of this show? They spell it out in damn near every episode.
The existence of demi-humans was made public three years ago. The government has been conducting trial home stays to help ease interspecies integration; however, non-humans are still largely treated as a danger to the public, sideshow freaks, or lesser beings. The antagonist(s) in this show are the (racist) general public. The climax would be full intergration of non-humans into normal society but even the manga is nowhere near that yet.
So basically the plot is something Japan has issues with......racism. Glad all these animes point to issues that Japan has yet it doesn't fix it in the country.
Yes, I'm sure Japan would be much better if they just imported 800,000 Muslim refugees like Germany. Japan needs to get over the idea that race means anything. I'm sure Akiba would be exactly the same, and would not change one bit even if SJWs convinced Japan to displace its own people to make room for millions of incoming Muslims. Imagine if Tokyo was 60% foreign like some of Europe's capitals, full of 3rd world immigrants. Wouldn't change one bit, would still be a safe place to walk at night, and you could still expect people to return your lost bag. Yup. Yup. One race the human race, and we're all equal. I believe it.

Most fanservice shows(To Love-ru, Highschool DxD aside) sell like shit. While it's great if someone buys the Japanese Blu Rays to support the show, I'm honestly not expecting anything beyond this season.
