DTB should have a sequel instead of that BS they call DTB s2. Well, that will never happen.
Mononoke is not an original series (neither Ayakashi, the first season). It adapted traditional horror stories.

Oh yeah, I loved Mononoke, but I think it's better as a one-off. You can't really milk that concept and its existing brevity just works better.
Would like to see a sequel series of Panty & Stocking, though. That actually ended on a shocking plot twist/cliffhanger.

I agree, the anime was really ahead of its time. Would also be interesting as the AR goggles aren't that far off in the future anymore.

Hell, I would be insanely happy if more people even found out about Dennou Coil. It's fantastic, with a great premise, spot on animation and interesting characters. I think it is at the same level as Steins;Gate. Too bad nobody seems to know about it outside Japan.
Hell yeah: P&SwG, Gargantia, Dennou Coil. Maybe Tiger & Bunny, it ended way too premature.
But definitely fuck the rest. Hard & without foreplay or lube.

darker than black had tons of sequels. Same with psycho pass. space dandy was shallow and stupid, not deserving of anything. Hell girl was gay and predictable. I do agree with suisei no gargantia though.
you need to have more interests other than anime to star understanding all the references that make Space Dandy fun. better get out of that room.

It's an adaptation, not original series.
Rather than a sequel, Merry might benefit more from the Brotherhood treatment and just start all over with a more faithful adaptation. The one we got took quite a few liberties while concluding with a gecko ending.
In fact, this should really be the case for all adaptations. Unless the previous anime followed its source material fairly closely and ended its run on either a cliffhanger or the conclusion to a story arc, there should be no need for a sequel. Just go for a complete re-do now that the source material is a lot farther along, if not finished entirely.

Same with a sequel. I was merely pointing out how stupid it'd be to do a sequel when, if anything, a faithful adaptation would be far more plausible due to a manga/novel being farther along.

It's also a pretty boring manga, all things considered. The anime's "vagina bones" fetish was the most interesting thing about it, really.
