Dragon Ball Super has unleashed a barrage of thrilling action sequences as the series slowly approaches the supposed conclusion of its first “Battle of the Gods” arc, with Goku finally being able to go toe-to-toe with his godly opponent – and possibly psyching viewers up for what is to come, despite covering content that most have already seen.

Know tell me TOEI….. WHY??? WHYYYYY?????
Don’t think they realize it but literally the only thing that made DBZ so awesome were the fights, 99% of DBS’s budget should have gone into the fight scenes.
Seriously watch DBZ and skip the fight scenes, you’re basically watching a bunch of idiot muscle heads flexing while talking about how amazing they all are with some low-tier humor sprinkled about lol.
AGHHHHHH !!!! Just in the DB fan heart.
deviantart quality animation as usual.
Is it wrong to say that this series is falling into the superman pitfall?
It did that s♥♥t a long time ago. If your name isn’t Goku anymore, you’re completely irrelevant to the story and the fight. No matter who or what you had been or were supposed to be *cough*Gohan*cough*. This is just more sucking Goku’s dick. If I wanted that, I’d go watch GT.
That being said, you ever wonder about Gohan? He was a child soldier since almost before he could talk. His mother was abusive and his father was absentee. I sometimes wonder if Videl’s plan isn’t to pacify with sex and peace a guy who’s about half a step away from cracking like a frozen egg and going all Brolli on everyone.
That joke would be a lot funnier if it were true, however Chi-Chi has never been shown as anything close to abusive. Even though her temper is legendary, she’s always been presented as just being a very strict mother who prioritizes her children’s safety and future above all else, including saving the planet, even though both of her sons can handle the former easily better than most on a day-to-day basis not involving fighting. Remember in the first episode of Super when Mr Satan gave Goku that briefcase of cash? The first and only thing Chi-Chi set her sights on with it was using it to get Goten into a great school, which, let’s face it, he really needs.
And Goku’s absentee status, for the most part, couldn’t be helped, because most instances where he was absent were usually out of his hands, as he was usually either dead, injured, or out with heart problems (which actually could have been prevented if he took his damn meds like he was supposed to). Most of the time when he wasn’t in those states, he was right there with his family. There were, admittedly, a couple of times though where he could have helped staying, and chose to stay absent, but there was a certain logic to those decisions, like training on Yardrat to learn how to control his Super Saiyan transformation (With every intention to return to Earth. Plus he learned a couple of other very important abilities in the process), choosing to stay dead after the fight with Cell (due to planet-busting trouble literally following him everywhere), and, honestly the only instance that you could actually call him out for being a dick, leaving his family, including his very young and attached granddaughter, to go train with Uub (It’s been a very long while since I’ve last seen that part, but did he ever really give a reason why he would have to leave his family? I honestly can’t think of a reason why he couldn’t balance them out).
