Death Note 2016 Live Action Film Announced

Death Note‘s official website has unveiled a new live action film is in the works, so far known only as “Death Note 2016”, as a sequel to the 2 previous live action movies released all the way back in 2006 – making more critical fans wonder when the series itself will be written down in the notebook to finally die.
The vague announcement trailer, revealed after the conclusion of a countdown:
The movie will be arriving in theaters sometime in 2016, marking the 10th anniversary of the prior works.

Well they did a 3rd one where L actually beat light and then continued on to take on another child of Whammy House so what happens may not actually matter to them.
L didn't win. The L movie was before and during Death Note movie itself.

They already made a few Live Action Death Note movies, and they were actually pretty good!
yep, I watched those movies before I watched a the anime.
The movies are definitely good, not at all the stereotype "some" people want to label adaptions.
I'm not sure what there is left to add in terms of adaptations... but i'm open minded to see what they come up with
nice.. death note one of my fav anime from back in the days.. though i stoped watching anime... i want to see this for sure!

Weird that they are coming out with this now, after the Live Action Drama has a different cast and story.

Pacific Rim was only visuals, 100% formulaic. They ripped off everything they could and had no trace of originality. It looked great though.
