I recommend the light novel which is far better than the anime.
Actually the anime's doing a pretty good job sticking to the LN for storyline IMHO.
The LN just gets the advantage of being way far ahead being the sauce material =P
I've put this show on indefinite hold after episode 4, does anything interesting actually happen or is it just a never-ending case of "I'm a god, overestimate people, and end up defeating them easily"? Random fights, even with Momonga's subordinates, aren't enough to hold my attention.
And speaking of his servants, does the main character ever do anything with Albedo, or is there no development/satisfaction to their relationship because he's undead and 'his libido is non-existent' (even though his mental embarrassment says otherwise)?

There's a difference between noticing that an anime adaptation is shit, and defending its shitness by making excuses. Plenty of anime have adapted their material to 13 episodes just fine. Don't go trying to pretend you're a bigger fan when you're really just giving them a pass for doing a shit job. A true fan is not above harshly criticizing the thing they love when it deserves it.

yes i know this is a promotional anime, but atleast it shouldn't have such a drop in quality 4 episodes before its finale.
but hopefully now the amount they have to cover fits better in 3 episodes with all the skipped material that they went through.
Recently I've found that reading the novel is just better. Don't expect an anime adaption to do everything, and look at them as a promotion for the novel. I'm having more fun with the specials and drama CDs.
Yup I have to agree. this episode didn't do justice to the source material. All the other episodes before left out plenty too but still managed to hit the mark where it counts. I'm just hoping the last couple of episodes will return to being really good just like the episodes before this one.

If they wanted to cover something good, they should have skipped or sped up the previous boring arc that feels like it has nothing to do with anything. Or they could at least decently hint that the previous arc was worth something, because so far the anime is doing a shit job of feeling like a proper narrative, and more like they're just making things up as they go along.

Actually one of the good points of the novel is exactly when they show de POV of others characters. Also they're no longer NPCs.

Yes, she's supposed to look like a parasitic eel, but they gave her that redicolous bloated tongue, the tattered clothes of a cheap victorian, lice infested underclass whore instead of her own supposed to rip goth-loli dress and made her even shorter than she already is
