Live Action Prison School TV Drama Cast Revealed

The cast for the notably perverted Prison School‘s upcoming live action TV drama has finally been revealed, giving potential watchers some insight into the overall quality of the “cosplay” and whether or not the show will live up to the anime and manga.

Cast is pretty good IMHO. For once, they really look like the source material.
Why does Japan insist on ruining popular anime with live adaptations? They will never be able to create the unique tones and mannerisms only attainable by 2D animated characters which is the main charm behind anime. This is great for Hiramoto though, this is more money on his paycheck and that's what he deserves. But Japan, no, just no.

Not entirely true, the live action for Nodame Cantabile stole the show from both the anime and manga that came before it. There's a fair chance this drama will be as good as the anime and manga also!
In defense, that live action didn't really have much to live up to.
I feel there are going to be large hurdles for this live action to overcome to give Prison School fans the feeling that they're watching Prison School and not just another tv drama.

I think this is the first time ever I find the actors apropiate for their respective roles

Why is Japan making live action adaptations of every successful anime now? It's really great for Hiramoto, he's probably going to be rolling in dough and honestly he deserves more. Still, anime should stay anime in my opinion. I just can't see how a live TV version would be able to recreate the unique tone of Prison School.

The director did Machine Girl and RoboGeisha, so he's the best possible choice. Given how shitty the anime turned out this might be the better of the two.

That's funny you should mention that. Hiramoto's art style was so detailed in the manga, the anime doesn't really catch his eye for detail. Of course because of budget constraints.

Yeah, the manga has amazing artwork. The show is nice, definitely way above average, but it just cant match that manga awesomeness.
I hope the actress who plays Meiko is just as good as the original.
I doubt this will be any good, but they went ABOVE and BEYOND on finding such good likenesses.
Find the casting director, and give them a better job.

For a TV DRAMA, they got enough budget and effort to get their likenesses down to the hair color and hairstyle.
