Kyoto Animation’s upcoming fan event “KyoAni & DO Fan Days 2015 (This Is What We Are Now!!)” has been detailed in a promotional video, promising a great deal of hugely exciting activities that any devoted KyoAni fan wouldn’t want to miss.
The highly informative PV:
The event will feature an exhibition hall with art and other such material, an interview with various animators and seiyuu who have worked on past KyoAni titles, and of course a goods shop ready to sell attendees a multitude of trinkets in commemoration of the event.
Further details can be found on the official website, with the event itself planned to be held at the Miyako Messe Hall in Kyoto from October 31st to November 1st.
What’s DO???
That poster sucks they took the worst shows
Well I’m glad they went with their killer titles, like Free! and Euphonium, instead of the never-heard-from stuff like K-On! or Suzumiya…
Kyo ani has become stupid after haruhi + fmp after those days the current female mc nowadays non of them can’t even remember the name. I still know konata and th ewhole gang than the rest of this girls.
The eyepatch girl and the blood chic I though they’re one character lol.
Kyoto Animation is a company run by fujoshi for fujoshi. Everything they’ve done recently has been gay.
I’m sick of male characters with ear piercings wearing ridiculous knitted sweaters. Bring back the moe girls only anime!
I don’t know why Kyoto Animation stuff sells so well when it’s mostly crap. There are far better studios like Doga Kobo, Studio Gokumi and White Fox.
Kyoani’s done stuff that’s not just guys. Free! was basically just K-on with guys who acted like girls. They weren’t even gay, just… effeminate for no real reason. Like episode 1 Makoto was just this pansy bitch clinging to Haru’s shirt in a dark building. It made no sense and felt completely fake. So much so that it was pathetic to just about everyone so they pulled him back over the next episodes to being the *reaction then smile warmly* character.
Free was decent but annoyed me because none of the characters were interesting besides Nagisa, and the only reason he was interesting was because they actually animated him moving more than the others. That’s all he had. He didn’t have anything that made him that likable and everything felt forced in their interaction like the penguin walk. The equivalent of that in K-on would be Ritsu drumming on Yui and her acting like it was a massage. That is an organic thing that could happen between friends hanging together and wasn’t a forced scene, just happened during a conversation and built character.
I’ve said it before, if Free were drawn the way it was but done in the way of Daily Lives of High School Boys, then guys and girls would both absolutely love it. They’d be lovable characters, hilarious, and even fujoshi would love them.
Actually, that very concept is why I made this:

Kyoto Animation hasn’t had a massive hit since K-On!. That is a fact. The rest of their work sells under 10k first week. Some even 6-7k.
Okay f♥♥k I forgot Free!. That was arguably a massive hit for them.
Even their poorer selling shows outsell just about any other series during that same season.
“Oh But SHAFT has better shows!”
Bullshit. They’ve been on wash, rinse, repeat, for 6 years ever since Bakemonogatari. Maduka was a complete fluke. And even now their ringing out as many yen for that before people finally get tired of it. I was tired of their s♥♥t from 2006.
“Maduka was a complete fluke.”
And the price for most retarded Sankaku comment 2015 goes toooooooooo~
>I don’t know why Kyoto Animation stuff sells so well when it’s mostly crap.
Perhaps it sells so well because your opinion is, contrary to your personal belief, in the minority?
Or perhaps it sells so well because people who share your opinion, including yourself, don’t buy anything?
Dude, what type of s♥♥t you be watching!?
The title of the event makes sense now doesn’t it?
