I really like this anime but I wish the pacing wasn`t so slow
I'm liking the slow pacing. makes you look forward to next time, and it doesn't just end things quickly, without story.
The hell are you smoking? Slow pacing? There's been a bunch of stuff happen every episode. This one we got not one, but TWO epic fights.
which would, in a LOT of shows, be the leadup before the baddie went super saiyan and they had to fight again. I just mean we aren't at the last boss fight yet, just at the underling level.

You knew she was dead the moment she picked a fight with him. While it was a "good" episode, we knew the outcome of this battle anyway, so it feels like a wasted episode.

The MMO aspect only seems relevant when it comes to mechanics.
In combat tiers for spells, buffs, items used in the world etc.
For all intents and purposes this is like medieval fantasy with MMO mechanics.
You'd have to remember that all of his minions are from a MMO, his appearance is from a MMO, his skills, items, equip, etc all from a MMO. Lots of elements in the world are from a MMO.
It's like someone took an MMO, sucked him inside and made it real.
I think the most interesting part with it was that it let them create an overpowered lich like character and make it relateable with the player on the inside. So far it feels like wasted potential though, story doesn't seem to be going anywhere, but I'll remain hopeful for a while longer. =)
I agree, 9 episodes in and the show hasn't given anything in the way of answers, just more questions. It hasn't made its direction clear either.
You guys are insane. We're ONLY 9 episodes in. Of course we don't have many answers. This is based off a 7+ Volume light novel. We're barely scratched the surface.
To further expand and clarify this is only volume 2 of a 9 volume light novel.
BUT they removed a lot of small details and monologues the character has that build and explain the world of Yggdrasil and the current world. If you want high quality always go the original source. Rarely is that not the case.
