Jinsei is known by another name "life" in most manga sites.
So wait, you're saying that this is another series that shares the name "jinsei"? That would make a lot of sense considering THIS Jinsei isn't traumatizing in the slightest (hell, even by the standards of other light novel-adapted moe series, it's fairly devoid of anything really serious). But I tried looking up this "life" manga, didn't really find a different title translated from 人生 (jinsei) so much as one that's just called ライフ (raifu), as in the English word itself. Is there a more specific title, an author name, anything else to go by?

Shiki deserves to be on this list. I'm probably going to have nightmares, and only two other franchises have ever done that to me (2001 and Kill Bill vol. 2).
Shiki is gothic horror done right! It's one of the few anime that make vampires scary again.

Most traumatizing manga I ever read was Nausicaa, spent the rest of the day in shock after reading volume 4.

Battle Royale is quite good. Not that traumatizing because of the explanation, but still quite dark.

The thing is, I don't know why they put Keiko Suenobu's manga, LIFE, as Jinsei. It was never spelled that way in the original. Also, the picture is wrong.

While Saikano is admittedly a tragedy but it is still pretty mild and doesn't "disturb" your mind that badly.
I personally think that Uzumaki being in the chart is very justified, I still cannot shake off that eerie feeling from back when I watched the movie adaptation.
for all the people confused about jinsei, poster purposefully put an incorrect name and photo for the manga to make people think that it is the light novel series jinsei.
