to give you an idea, the cheapest one with a price (miku) is roughly $105USD. surely more than half of that isnt in the hair is it?
Costumes in this list are popular not because of people buying to wear once at some event. These are the costumes people buy to have girls wear them before/during sex.
If you ask me, $105 is a reasonable price to spice up your sex life with some Miku (assuming you have a sex life, of course...)

@07:57 what ages are you living in? Nowadays nothing is really cheap especially clothing, however, those depicted is for hobby and not casual wear. Better quality fabrics will ensure tougher durability which reduce normal wear and tear. You can't expect the same from self-made costumes.
