Sega’s mysterious countdown has unveiled a brand new Project Diva rhythm game in the works entitled “Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X”, introducing what just may be yet another generic rhythm game that will accumulate colossal sales due to Miku’s revered name being attached.

The announcement video, which also celebrates Miku’s 8th anniversary:

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X is slated for a March 2016 release for the Vita, with it later arriving onto the PS4 sometime in the distant autumn of 2016.

Afaik that footage was from Vita version, so there is still a slim chance for PS4 version to be improved.

    Lol "Generic rythym game"
I'm not of fan of vocaloids but these Project diva games aren't Generic.but if you can show me any other rythym game where you can take pictures of the characters, celebrate their birthdays, watch a AR performance that you choreographed, input songs into the game, save the loading screen art work, change the characters clothing even use previous games clothing from the save file,
if you show me other rythym games like this That has a US release then I might consider it generic but for the time being it's not generic.

    "another generic rhythm game"

What, did you expect hack and slash/beat'em up action like in Symphogear but with Vocaloids?

    ...oh, you *did*?

    Well, too bad.

(Though hack and slash with Miku would be epic)

At least it's better than another generic shoot them up clones after clones, but know what, people still suck them up anyway! This game will be no exception in my very honest opinion. i mean, it isn't fair that almost every games is made for male gamer, where's the gender equality?

In demographics. Men still are the ones who buy videogames the most, so most titles are aimed at them. Just like porn.
    The customer is always right.

How about rhythm hack-and-slash featuring Vocaloids? You must press buttans with perfect timing to damage the giant monster. Failure to press right buttans at right time results in taking damage. Failure several times in a row results in crit fail.

Phantasu Star Portable 2 has a miku costume for females, including leek weapons, such as dual blades, staff, greatsword, and more. so, it kinda already exists.

I once whispered to my ex if she would cosplay as Miku for my birthday... she proceeded to yell at me about feminism, strong women, and that she is not a slave for my pleasure. This scene happened in front of my friends and family a few months ago.

@18:56 sadly...it sounds like the fault lies with you here. In Japan, people don't talk aloud about things pertaining to anime or manga, especially the adult oriented ones. While it's not wrong to have fetish but not knowing what your other half likes or dislikes is a mistake, but since you two did not have much in common, I guess you are better off without her. Trust me, it is about finding a girlfriend or wife that shares your hobbies.
