    When I started watching this, I thought this'd be like Seitokai Yakuindomo, full of dirty jokes and stuff, with which I couldn't stop laughing every episode.

    This one just replaces some words and make dirty comments out of the blue. I haven't laughed once with this anime. It's humor is as idiotic as when in elementary school someone would say penis or vagina and everyone laughed.

    Why then do I keep watching it? For Anna of course! None other reason.

    @01:54 You do realize that there is always something for everyone, since no individual is alike. From what I've gathered, there are people who hates or just doesn't like the way Seitokai Yakuindomo plays out. So it's more about personal preferences. I mean, Shimoseka also has it's fair share of negative comments if you bother to look around.

    A lot of people do agree that the execution with Shimoseka is pretty stale. Their dialogue is akin to a middle schooler who just discovered what those words mean. But they balance it out with "a few" memorable characters with a weird brand of charm. Aside from that and a few hidden messages, the show is a lot more bland and tasteless than Seitokai.

    SYD is the innocent option. Shimoneta is the slightly buck wild option. Joke aside, both have slightly different setting; SYD is purely focused on school/student life while Shimoneta is practically sentai parody meets dirty joke
