Legendary sci-fi series Ghost in the Shell has become the next blockbuster anime to receive a stage play, with a PV arriving to reveal the cast – and the fatal fact that it is Arise and not SAC or the movies which is the basis for the play.
The PV, which has given little insight into what the play will focus on:
The official website has also offered an initial glimpse of the franchise’s star Motoko, albeit in her less than universally well received “Arise” form…
The play can be attended from November 5th through November 15th at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijou Playhouse.

The Arise design is by far the best of all of them. It may even be the best GITS. I seriously don't understand why this site keeps bashing it.

Arise is by far the best Version unless we count in the GITS Movie which is far on Top in terms on Design

Motoko was rather skinny in Arise as well so it's doable.
stage plays by their very nature tend to choose flops in order to milk every last bit out of whatever they are copying from. the reasoning is there is no sense butchering what is/was a good thing. stage plays are the bottom of the barrel as far as acting is concerned, even lower than art films and B movies. its where bad ideas and untalented actors go to die, just as arise was.
Not bad, maybe i'll watch it.
