I remember when that Red Ribbon Army guy was about to molest Bulma and in the sub titkes she Goes "You me you want to do things that can't be done in a Gag anime for good boys and girls?" or something like that. She says something different in the English version but for some reason FUNimation left the script alone in the DVD when it's subbed.
One of the future episodes will consist of Vegeta screaming "That's my Bulma!!!" for 30 minutes straight...

I don't see it as out of character at all because it was inevitable his situation was going to seem surreal and hilarious. He used to be a powerful prince but now he's stuck on Earth and has to find some sense of normalcy. All of his powerful and regal traits are going to seem out of place, but he has to adapt as an adult who is set in his ways. It's the contrast that makes it hilarious. This is the progression of a character like this who is removed from a high station and forced to look (most of the time) like a normal man.

I wish they would animate it to the style of the original show. The digital looks so flat and ugly, too uniform. Too clean. The proportions are all a lot smaller than before too.
It's slower and much more expensive, good luck finding anyone ready to finance such a thing.
