Concerned parents and lawyers looking to enforce their morals have been causing a tussle online about an unofficial shirt for teacher assassination anime Ansatsu Kyoushitsu, due to the shirt’s unsavory “Keep Calm and Kill Your Teacher” slogan – though with the outraged complainants in question likely having no knowledge of the series that the shirt is based on.

The outrage has been so massive that all the fearsome powers of an internet petition has been brought to bear in order to force the withdrawal of the shirt from all retailers – and after just one week, the petition has managed to acquire the signatures of over 10,000 dedicated white knight internet justiciars.

I heard about the petition, but was told it was because it was copyright infringing and the creators where being dicks... did these people not notice the big smiley face in the background and question it?
Kind of irrelevant, it makes it that much more rightfully creepy. But I sure as shit will be buying this shirt.
This is what happens when insensitive people just mindlessly do things their own way, it doesn't matter which countries because this kind of behavior can be found anywhere. The Manga itself is fine as morals is taught as well besides "killing" the target. I really hope the Anime isn't affected in anyway by this incident.

I can understand why. Without context, the shirt just comes off as tasteless. No one seems to be shitting on the series either since it's unofficial, so who cares.

Who cares what the slogan is based on. People are crazy, and will wear that shirt and kill their teacher. It'd probably be fine though, if they had put the whole thing in qoutes, so that they can say they were quoting.
I killed my teacher today and painted the shirt red with entrails and blood. Just as the shirt told me to.
