Keeping up with the precedent set last episode, Overlord continues to present mind-blowing action sequences to viewers within the confines of its MMORPG-turned reality – though still reserving enough of its compelling action to hopefully keep the episodes to come as well stocked.

Albedo makes the best faces.
it was already good...
it was good since the first eps...
Albedo is the primary(only) reason I'm sticking with it.
Waifu of the season!
why reporting each episode of this anime? there are more
Probably because it's good or they just got paid to do it?
I know i love it.
Probably because of its premise being "trapped in an MMORPG"?
Except it's "transfered to another world from MMORPG".
Sankaku loves to be reporting on controversy in the anime world. I'm pretty sure they pounced on this because it looked like it was going to nosedive based on the first episode and they could spend each episode laughing all the way to the page view counter. And then it turned out to actually not be terrible, but now they're kind of committed.
That's no different to any news website. News website love controversy.
It is a good show, but man its slow. I hope it picks up the pace. I'm always wondering why he took his guilds name for himself? to try and draw out players who stayed like himself?
This show and gate are my top favorites this round.
That's exactly the reason why he used his guild's name. His guild, as I recall, was one of the best guilds in Yggdrasil, so using the guild's name was really smart.
As for the pacing, I'm really liking it. I never read the LN, but it seems like it's going 4 episodes per volume. The world-building is nice and informative, the battles are strong and also informative on how different the world is now, and the overall show is just amazing at what it's doing at its rate. Slow and steady is definitely the winner for this show.
Rewatched this episode at least a few times. His bad assery is starting to show.
Bitch please this has been good from episode 1
Is this anime going to go down the Marty Stu route now? With the "I can win against any opponents with whatever dumb magic and everyone whom I run into and doesn't immediately like me within 5 minutes are assholes/loser" thing?
Come on, I hadn't been blaming this anime for being SAO copycat, but seriously?
He faced a fucking Peon in combat, and you think he's hot shit?
I don't know, here's the rundown.
- Easily overpowers uber angel whatever, tanking it's whatever uber attack despite being a mage and simply laughing
- Is shown to be far stronger than the character claimed to be "world's strongest swordsman" and is praised by said swordsman
- All antagonists shown so far are one dimensional psychos only in for themselves or money
- Have an entire army of uber powerful characters that instantly worships him, 2 of which are women hell bent on fighting for his affection
All the pointers to Marty Stus trope, all in 1 episode, and I do, believe that the audience reaction intended for this episode is to show that he is a big deal.
I don't know if you trolling or being utterly retarded.
>uber angel whatever
Nigga, you're easily can overpower flies, it doesn't mean you superhuman.
Wait till Ainz go against the bloody valkyrie, and you will see that he isn't that almighty after all.
The uber angel is what? Level 50? Ainz is level 100. Average level in this world is about 30. This world's strongest swordsman can't be any higher than level 40.
Moreover, the denizens of this world thought a Tier 6 spell is hot stuff. Ainz can spam Tier 10 spells without breaking a sweat.
Bloody Valkyrie? You mean Shalltear? he won in the end though
Kirito's skill in SAO is illogical and more asspull, being able to get more exp solo than people in parties and being able to provide funding to a faction despite having all his gear on loan.
At least in Overlord, Momonga has been established as the leader of a guild that spent hours grinding and crafting their shit before the NPCs gained sentience.
I would say years grinding since the game was 12 years old and I would guess he had been playing from at least near the start considering his age.
I dont get wtf is up with Japanese writers with their Marty Stus.
read the novel. Sheesh
read the novel. Sheesh
read the novel. Sheesh
read the novel. Sheesh
The point of the episode was him testing himself vs shit mobs
obviously he'd win easily
but wait until he fights another player or a high level boss
saying this is SAO copy cat is like saying game of throne violence is similar to the hunger game.
Saw it coming
the show was building up to something good
