I don't understand why every character on the series sounded like european spanish people but kero sounded like a retarded mexican. Although it should be pointed out that in the Japanese version he had an Osaka accent, which the Japanese associate with being loud, rude and unrefined. So there you go.

Kansai dialect is associated with comedians in Japanese media... and it is more than just an accent, there are huge pronunciation, vocab, and grammar differences, as well as backwards accents.
