What's shocking about the ending to Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso? I mean, unless you fell asleep during the rest of the anime and didn't realize what was clearly supposed to happen. It would have more shocking if they had wussed out, frankly.
Why is Naruto anywhere on this list? I had the ending pegged 300 chapters out.

How was that a surprise? He went 9 tails against Pain when he thought he killed her.
How about when his dad was resurrected and asked if Sakura was his girlfriend, and he said maybe (or something like that, not going to look it up), and Hinata was standing like 3 feet away?

The ending wasn't shocking - it was satisfying.
Naruto ending was a P.O.S. The war was entertaining until mangaka turn it into a god-like battle that lost me half way through the final battle...
You kept up with a 3 day battle that lasted nearly 3 years for at least one? Your patience is commendable.

I think they must have a different definition of "shocking" in Japan...I mean, was anyone really surprised at how Death Note ended? Did they think it was going to end any other way?
The only question is whether Light really had free will while using the Note or if the entire series of events was pre-planned by Ryuk prior to dropping the Note into our world and he simply played innocent the whole time.
I still don't get the Death Note enthusiasts because I got tired very fast of being told how brilliant Light was, because to me he seemed like a fucking idiot.
