Well it’s silly because there ARE gay men and straight women playing these games for the male characters, same as there are straight men and lesbian women playing for the female characters (and bi-sexuals playing for both, obviously) and honestly, if there is a product wanted and that obviously is the case, Tecmo would do well to offer it and make money from it. This being DLC after all, they only need to create and programm the new costumes ones, then can sell them via download pretty indefinitely and rake in the money. I’m not a fan of this practice, sure, but it would be a lot more consequent that way.

  Because it’s a horror game with a perspective flip and thus something fresh? Why spend time playing yet another horror game where you only run away from the monsters when instead you can BE the monster? People love yanderes so why not be one? It’s a neat idea.

  YanDev said in the video linked that he himself doesn’t think the game is ready for Kickstarter yet, that’s why he asks what the fans think. He would rather spend another year working on it and THEN go on Kickstarter to present a product people can gift money to without the creeping feeling that they might be betrayed later.
