Someone goofed by mistakenly putting Non Non Biyori in 14th, when its clearly a top 3 anime this season.
I agree, it should be at least in the top 5.
Liking GATE and Dandelion quite a lot for this season.
Also, was hoping for a classic/template magical fantasy story with Rokka no Yuusha, but it ends up being a mystery/detective story wrapped in a fantasy setting...

Overlord so low in the list? That first episode made me read the light novels of an anime for FIRST TIME!
The idea is fun and I really wanted to know where it's going after the first episode.
However already after the second episode you notice that the pace is rather slow to establish the world.
Maybe it's gonna rise in popularity if it actualy gets somewhere interesting.
i find overlord's 'stuck in the virtual world' setting more interesting than other recent animes of same premise; this time it's you (in the ultimate roleplaying in your life) and the NPCs given life as according to the game's lore. no other players so no boring & mundane RL interactions.
I like Overlord because it focuses on the 'evil' overlord. It's like Overlord, the game, turned into anime.
Yeah were the Overlord is actually the far nicer person :)
Though let's admit it, he can be really ruthless when he needs to.
plus, there's little censoring (well, at least not too heavy of a censoring that GATE and prison school suffers from), sasuga madhouse. the scene where the knight literally got hacked to death is superb.
it's exciting to know what really happened to him and his body, that he's now losing his human's apathy. did his whole being got sucked and merged with the game, or only his soul, or he literally fell into another dimension after somewhat merging with the whole game system
3rd episode came out today. Blood EVERYWHERE. Gives it a reason to be in top 10.

Quite surprised with U&T, I've been watching it and I wouldn't expect it on anyone list with how everyone these days hates outdated character designs.
cuz it's just a mass of undeniable epicness, manliness and nostalgic feel. even moefags can't deflect that.

Ushio and Tora and Gatchaman Crowds are both pretty great.
Gatchaman this season kinda disappoint me though, the first season was more like "Hajime-chan Sugoi!!" "UtsuUtsu Kawaii!!" but this season is like meh..

How in the hell is the amazing adaptation of Prison School so low and the terrible adaptation of GATE so high. The GATE manga is one of my favorites at the moment but god damn those new character designs are garbage, the brutality has been wiped clean, and the pacing/directing is shit.
Yeah, a perfect adaptation of a manga is a rare thing and it really ought to get the recognition it deserves for that.

honestly they are hilarious to adults. but i dont think kids should watch either of those hence why i dont think they were on this list in japan
I'd totally watch and laugh at those shows as early as age 11. Maybe even more. And I'm someone who can't and never could stand the kind of other adult humor in Family Guy and recent comedies films.

Overlord is the best anime of this season in my personal Ranking. After watched the first episode I was dumbfounded. I still stay at the first episode of overlord.then I watched it again and again. I was so expect for next episode.I bear the impulse of reading novel because it will reduce the fun of watching this anime.
