The highly abusive action of slapstick comedy Prison School has returned with its 2nd episode, as the imprisoned delinquents are once again subjected to all forms of harsh discipline, along with the introduction of some more “risque” jokes that demonstrate the anime’s limitless boundaries for humor.

After the first episode of the anime aired, I went to read the manga, Prison School is actually very very good, the irreverence and mockery to many straight faced topics is just outstanding.
Best show of the season, without a doubt.
How could you say that this anime has humor?
"[..]demonstrate the anime’s limitless boundaries for humor."
All i can see are some puerile jokes...
>sees jokes
>says there's no humor
While jokes are subjective, just because you don't find them funny, doesn't change the fact that they're jokes.
Guess it's just a bad joke then
You can copy word for word jokes told from a stand up comedian and still not bring about a laugh. It's all about delivery and timing, which sadly the adaptation severely lacks. The manga delivers the comedy so much better.
hmm, guess I should take a look at the manga.
You really should :)
Hana is such a perv.
We need an all Hana show. Just her trying out different fetishes curiously, always trying to be dom, things go wrong, and getting off on the resulting public humiliation every time as a sub.
Except Hana is a total dom in the manga every time. Just because she winds up on her ass doesn't mean she's suddenly a sub.
Wow the story is really rushed and the censorship is not helping it...
I haven't started watching it yet but I dont remember the manga being that far along in such a short amount of time. They're going to catch up real fast if they keep going at that rate.
yeh judging by the screen shots im just gonna wait for the BD
I don't see how the story is rushed. I have been reading the manga, and they didn't miss anything important... other than the vice-prez doing squats... :(
Anyways, each episode covers 6 chapters.
Vice-prez doing squats = IMPORTANT!
"Anyways, each episode covers 6 chapters."
Yeah, that means it's rushed. They're going through content too fast and miss the timing on the comedy portions. You barely have a moment to comprehend what just happened and laugh before they throw 6 or 7 additional scenes in your face.
We're not talking books we're talking manga. Mangas have to keep to a certain pace as it lacks the narrative elements that books can possess.
Take a look at practically any manga to anime adaptation and you generally see 1 anime episode cover 1.5-3 chapters of an average weekly manga (depending on filler of course). So we'll round off to 22 minutes of animation equals around 30-50 pages. Now prison school has skyrocketed to about 150 pages for the first episode by itself!
So yes, the Prison School anime is rushed to holy heck.
As someone who has read the manga I find the pacing absolutely perfect. I could see how someone new to the series might find it too fast though. I think the manga drags on too much at times. Also the more they cover with each episode the more great scenes we get to see that are further into the manga.
turning 1 chapter in to an 22 min episode is the the equivalent of turning the Hobbit to 3 movies.
""Anyways, each episode covers 6 chapters.""
1 television episode is more than enough for 6 chapters of a BOOK. If one episode was one chapter then it'd really only be 5 minutes long.
This show is hilarious
Oh yes, abuse me more!!
Yeah.....gonna wait for the BD.
Child sex is awesome. Lick under your tongue... that feels like a 9 year olds kitty.
Thank you. I will never be able to lick under my tongue again without thinking this.
