Pokemon has gotten possibly its most bizarre fan-game yet, in the form of “Ojimon”, a smartphone title that depicts several of the franchise’s familiar critters with the face of a tired old man, certainly making for a unique experience despite many wondering what the intended demographic for the game was meant to be.
Instead of training the “Ojimon” to battle, the withered creatures are sent to do forced labor and ironically earn money for the player which can then be spent on prizes or to help develop in-game towns…
The game certainly scores highly on the weirdness scale, but may possibly pale in comparison to PETA’s fan-game made quite a few years ago… Ojimon itself is a free smartphone game available now for Android and iOS.
Searched おじモン on Canadian Apple store… found. Confirmed it’s available outside Japan.
pokemon should have been like this from the beginning
‘intended demographic for the game’? filthy casuals, of course!
