The premiere of school life anime Gakkou Gurashi has exploded with a vast abundance of moe, while also gaining positive reviews with its completely unexpected (to the uninformed, at least) addition of flesh-craving zombies – forming a rather bizarre mix that may possibly prove entertaining to those who admire both incomparable genres, or even either.

I'd prefer me some mahou shojo of the end.
what's better than zombielord maho shojo?!
There's already an anime with that premise: Kore Wa Zombie Desu Ka.
Except the Mahou Shoujo is called Masou Shoujo, and wields a Chainsaw.
Also is a dude (and also a zombie).
and it's a comedy with the zombie as main character.
In maho shojo of the end, the shojos are the enemy. And boy do they turn tokyo in a slaughter house.
I completely forgot about Mahou Shoujo of the End. I's seriously screwed up. They have zombies, which are Mahou Shoujo. Instead of biting people, they use magic to kill people in messy ways. Then from the remains more Mahou Shoujo emerge.
SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! ONLY SHIT!
MOE/LOLI BURNING
Agree.
at the end you're like Aaaaaah the shovel , yeah it's nice to have a shovel
So basically, it's a zombie apocalypse anime as seen from the eyes of a completely insane girl who probably broke due to PTSD or something.
No PTSD, just bat-shit crazy from the get go.
The apocalypse already happened. She's just trying to escape reality instead of facing it. It's really sad, y'know. :(
I think it's more like a fugue state. Yuki knows the truth deep down, she just chooses to not acknowledge it. It's a survival mechanism in extreme situations.
Man being ignorant is the fucking best, the reveal was great.
Everyone keeps talking about zombies but I couldn't find them in the episode. what the fuck?
You're fucking with me, right?
watch until the very end.
Oh look, another anime that's trying to be edgy like Madoka
Oh look, another person that say "another anime that's trying to be edgy like (insert dark anime name)"and still counting.
More like oh look another zombie anime. It's bad enough to put up with this stuff in the west, but now we gotta put up with it in anime too?
You could just not watch it.
No we'll just watch it and complain about it.
This guy clearly don't know how Sankaku comments work.
This anime isn't only about zombies or moe girls fighting against zombies, is more horror and psychological.
Moe School Of The Dead...
seems like comments are deleted randomly here
I know a couple of things about the manga but after seeing this anime's ending....... ;;____;;

Don't think this spoiler works. :/

code tag...maybe more, dunno.
Oh the horror! where are the nekos!!!
Yeah, no. I can't stand these kinds of dark shows.
Anyone else here start reading the Gakkou Gurashi manga after seeing the "Futility" meme (with Yuki closing the window to shut out a draft despite there being very little glass left in any of the window frames) and wondering what manga it was from?
Best show of the season, without a doubt.
Moe here, moe there, moe absolutely everywhere~
